| Christie Kerr and Michelle Wie overcame two ragged final holes to salvage a one-up foursome win at the Solheim Cup on Saturday, keeping the Americans tied with Europe going into today's all-important singles matches.
The way the Americans have played in singles, that's almost like having the lead. The United States has a .602 winning percentage in singles over the course of the tournament and has lost only three times in singles. The last time? That would be 2003, also the last time Europe won the Solheim Cup.
The Americans need 14 points to win a third straight Solheim Cup; Europe needs 14 1/2 points to claim it on U.S. soil for the first time.
Okay, If Paula helps win this (again), I will not hold my personal grudge I have against her since her participation in the HSBC Womens Champions 09 event at Tanah Merah CC.
Previously, whenever the USA team has won the most matches on Day 1, they went on to win the Soheim Cup.
Very talented players on both sides.
I am kind of glad to see Wie doing well lately.

| Oh no, Europe lost How did Laura end up halving her game when she was 2-up with 2 holes to play?? Oddly enough, whenever the US leads at Day 1, they usually win the Cup (that's what I read somewhere). | |

| My view: 1. Most impressive : Michelle Wie and Catriona Matthew....Michelle is very bloody impressive...short game and clutch putting....But my fav is Catriona Matthew....wah...very compose and very solid game 2. Most over-rated: Suzzane Petersen....walau....long drive...tats about it Not sure if the Lexus cup is still going on this year...cant wait for the Asians to kick the sweet A## of the Americans. (Disclaimer: Nothing against the American, just that I prefer the Asian winning dance better) ..... | |
