carrying golf set to USA

Hi,

Anyone went to the USA recently with golf clubs? Any idea if they are as strict as australia in terms of dirt etc?

nope. only Australian AQIC is a PITA.

They will only double and triple x-ray your bags for WMD.

They don't in America but in Australia they do. In fact in New Zeland they do check too.

okay now I know who you are. Me was drooling the bags too but it was way way over my budget so had to settle for driver and putter cover and I do love them. So which bag did you get?

Didn't get any bags cos they wouldn't do so well due to the travelling that I do. It'd get killed by the airlines, and I haven't got the heart to keep this bag indoors (I already have 4 'flower pots' in my bedroom, wife ain't too pleased)

Will be getting the driver headcover from wife as wedding anniversary present this July

travelling to USA... not so picky...

coming out... they only get picky behind the scene when TSA double and triple Xray your bags for depleted uranium or WMD.

Then my tour-issued Adams sure fail the X-ray one... it's a Weapon of Mass Distance

my guam boss double scrub all this clubs... turn over his bag... clean the base of his bag... make sure nothing left... u know where AQIS find dirt in this golf stuff?



They unscrew the spikes of the golf shoe and take out the dirt inside....

What do they do if they find dirt? Fine you? Cane and jail?

Its quite annoying when they hand you a ziplock bag with your soaking wet shoes inside, and you know that the only time you can air them out is about 4 hours away after your connecting flight....

It happened to me but not with golf shoes.

the best one that i personally saw... this dude from singapore buys BK... intended to eat on the plane on the way to aussie... then forgot about it... bring the burger down... and intend to eat outside the airport... AQIS confiscated the burger... and i swear i tot i saw the AQIS bugger scoffing it down behind the door....

Okay, another reason why I won't fly to Oz to play golf. Or holiday, for that matter.

as long as u show up without your golf bag... u are practically in a clear... but as soon as they see the golf bag... red flags pop out!
