| this is the face that started it all... The RDE (Reduced Dimple Error) Face. its patented but there are putters who have tried to use this without the same effect. the lighter satin is more appealing but the black turns out better than i have anticipated. as we are milling the putter off a block of 303 steel, the overall weight distribution and face balance is maintained because of the state-of-the-art milling machine employed. For the Black and light Bronze, we are using a vapour transfer method used in surgical tools because the 303 steel is one of the most difficult material to coat. its not an oxide or painting that helps us create the colour and the thickness of the colour coat. through the prototyping in the last 6 months, we have not only learn a great deal about how the RDE function and why it cease to function. Just as important we have come to understand the importance of shaft frequency, stiffness of the shaft and spine orientation to achieve the perfect roll and distance control. previous users will attest to it that they find the first prototype soft but was always putting short. it was not a function of the face but rather a malfunction of the shaft flex. we have now established the frequency for the different desired feel and the Zen Flow Motion F360 is just the right component to tie everything in. the bronze short slant is in the bag of an European Tour bag who is headed for Spain this week for the 2nd stage qualifier. for those who wants to try this combination of bespoked putter building, please feel free to ask. DGman Was abt to ask how the shaft makes a difference in putting.... guess u hv answered it. U mean the RDE can cease to function?? wats the lifespan of the face then?? | |

| DGman, I am a lover of flare neck or short slant neck putter. If you have a Zen with it, I am keen to try. | |

| i will bring my personal satin short slant (355g head) with F360 shaft and we should have one more SS with steel on Grip master and the original PN for trial.
so far golfsnowman and Will have PM me and they will also get a shot of testing these putters.
the black one stays in the shop as i will probably game it this weekend....
DGman
