| Did a 9 hole at changi today with the putter and would like to share some of my feedback on the putter. Feel: This is the strongest point; I like soft feedback when striking the ball. Compare to my Scotty Studio Design 3.5, Scotty give me a feeling of a solid impact which sometime I feel that I am knocking the ball then stroking it. Whereas for the Zen, it gave me a soft impact feedback which make me feel that the ball is being compress and push out. Forgiveness: Since this is just the 1st day with the putter I don’t think I will do justice to this part, but during the game my 1st hole I already hole it with one putt compare to the normal 2 putts. With the weight distribution on the putter and shaft, now my uphill putts are near to the pins also the long putts are definitely more stable. Accuracy: Pretty accurate with a decent stroke, again putting is very visual and with the white stripe it allows you to frame the ball easily and feel as if it will roll on the same path as the aid. Will be able to determine more after getting use to it. Roll: The putter gives off some of the best roll, the ball skips very little and with the RDE technology, it reduces left and right dispersion. Aesthetics: Finishing of the putter head look fantastic coupled with black shaft and grip master looks simply awesome. (ok I am into aesthetics – looks good make you feel good) Overall: To me now this putter has taken me to another level of feel. In short, my Scotty is officially retired from my bag. I would encourage any one interest to have a try at the den for yourself and you can be the judge of it. | |

| Yesterday went to the den and tried out boss's secret weapon and the other 2 putter...
i can say, boss secret weapon is darm chio, and it really sits nicely. All 3 putter feels superb and give a very unique roll, and i like the ball rolls very much....darm poisonous stuff...haha !!
manage to get one out from the den, of course with boss permission, and i gonna try it out on the range this friday and follow by 2 games over the weekend in Palm Spring....
i think i better buy more 4D and toto liao..haha | |

| i just want to share some close-ups today. RDE is not just a term to spice things up. Its roots stems from a british engineer by the name of Dr Norman Lindsay. the RDE was create to correct the negative effects of putting on uneven dimple ball. By adding the variable vertical roll and horizontal budge, off centre hits still produce a more accurate roll. in layman terms, the putter face is not flash flat. it has a budge that sits on the sweet spot hence when its not hit in the centre, it will still produce an accurate result. the feel as experienced by a lot of the trial users are from the choice of material 303 SS and the ridge at impact. the unique roll holding its line comes from the RDE technology. when we introduce the F360 resonance shaft, we are creating a higher frequency experience and hence less "noise" on takeaway and on impact. last but most important is the RDE face with the variable loft creates top spin and not back spin which most grove putter face results in. this is key for distance control. one more drill for users, hands press forward at address and you will squeeze an extra 15% distance off the same stroke. try this for the uphill putts and you will be amazed with the results. enough said....personal gamer (satin ss prototype 2) for trial this weekend. black one stays indoor. the cost of milling the face is about 25% of the cost, the RDE is precised and difficult to reproduce on a consistent manner. good thing the manufacturers have the high speed defence grade CNC machines. | i would like to share a story about a world class player that was never revealed in news. it came from people who knows him well.
when his wife caught him fooling around, she was so mad that she smashes his ferrari with his putter. when he got home, the first thing he did was try and savage his putter, he didn't care about the car. it was repaired but the feel was never the same. of course he has never won a tournament since and his last major victory was the US Masters when he came back and beat the 3rd round leader who score the most embarrassing meltdown in US masters history.
so the cost of a putter is more expensive than a ferrari to some. and i am sure the golfer will gladly pay a million $ to have his old putter back.

| i think the commerical version will be delayed till first quarter 2010. the big brands are queuing up at the factories and we can only wait.
will be at the factory on the 27th Nov so we will have a better idea then.
which cover, the white we have, the blue is just a prototype. unless Jason order 200 pcs, we are not going into production yet.
