I'm also using nike 7 wood but notice 3hybrid can shoot the same distance 150m/ 125m(when chooked) using a new ball. but with 3 iron... not so accurate and same.

| Definitely hybrid. Makes this game so much easier and enjoyable to play. Sure, not feeling that macho-feeling when you're pulling a 2- or 3-iron outta your bag. But I sure not feeling dumb either after a terrible mishit with those long irons... no offense, long-iron hitters! Seriously, I usually get the last laugh when such contest is on... | |

Seriously, I usually get the last laugh when such contest is on... There are pros and cons for both hybrid & long irons.. since I use long irons.. i'll share my point of view... for long irons.. you have more control on your shots.. be it its trajectory, drawing or fading the ball... for example a 200+yrds par-3.. narrow par 5 fairway with uneven lies... or maybe a long approaching shot from the rough.. long irons comes in handy.. IF you are able to handle them.. As for hybrids.. you can't really control the ball trajectory.. & on an uneven lie.. it's harder to shape a shot according to ur needs.. in the rough.. worse.. it is wut it is.. good thing abt it is that it's more forgiving.. ON a perfect lie..

| Actually...I dont use my long irons to hit long shots. It is actually used as a "rescue" where by I use it to punch the ball back into the fairway. Because I tend to reguarly find myself in alot of waste harzards surrounded by trees... 1/2 - 1/4 swing to keep the ball flight low. Sometimes I even use my 3I to chip & roll to get onto the green especially when the pin is at the back. | |
