| better to look at the longkangs and be aware of them than to walk around with your nose high in the air and fall into a longkang. | |

let's be a little more realistic ba....... I won't argue with that as I am sure you are right. There will always be people who feel otherwise (not everybody think alike) but members should not make a joke about it in bad taste.

| I do understand Mloy's concerns in the sense that kids are around reading this and all.
I would also like to emphasize that this forum is for people of all ages. As such, it would be senseless to sanitise everything just because kids are reading it. This would cause inconvenience to the majority of the readers here, just for the sake of the minority. Given that, JC's avatar is a lil bit povacative and in some sense suggestive. But he did not flaunt any rules by doing it and neither did he show anything that would cause MDA to close GR down.
The avatar is a small matter seriously really, and we dont need a few pages to discuss on it. But wat concerns me is the rationale behind removing an avatar that not even worthy of a space in Penthouse magazine. Moreover, I think TV nowadays show worse stuff. Hense my concern....Are we being a lil too paranoid over the 'cleanliness' of the contents here? To a point where everyone has to watch wat they say? Basic stuff like, no vulgarities, no personal attacks, no naked pictures is acceptable, mandatory and in some sense necessary for order.
We are part of a golf forum for people young and old. We are not a Ben 10, Thomas the Train or Hi-5 forum.
as such I wud urge young readers to practise a lil bit of caveat when it comes to GR. Cos this is a forum for all ages after all.
However, in the end of the day, I do understand that this is a public forum and hence will follow wat majority wants. This forum has done me a lot more good for me to be annoyed over this small matter. I am not disputing anything. Its just my point of view and also I do realise that this debate stems from a difference in personal values we have.

| its nothing wrong or illegal.
Does anyone here place such picture in their living room, on their front door?
or have such picture as the skin of their laptop, cars etc.......
It is not can or cannot here, it is more on the image that putting up to the public.
Maybe, someone can try putting up such picture in Big Fish showroom. (or your best friends business area). Then argue with the point you have here.

| PEACE everyone... There are always 2 side to the coin and there is no absolute right or wrong... Lets agree to disagree.... Life is too short to be arguing something like.... avatar (SMLJ ).... Whatever it is, lets leave it to the mods to decide if it is appropriate/acceptable or not... As for the rest of us... Lets get back to work....

| JC: i actually dun see anything wrong with your avatar, if i were u, i will keep it........ ie u have my support
singapore dun legalise prostitution, if u walk the streets of geylang, its there....... doess that mean u cant bring your family to geylang for dinner, cos its degrading/demeaning to women, wont u not ask the government to enforce the policy of zero tolerance since its inappropriate to the young......
we aint perfect, society aint perfect, there will always be some bad among the good, if we can sing about our virtues, why cant we exercise some tolerance for the vice..... are all of us that perfect, have u not skip a day of school, smoke the 1st cigarette, watch porn with our friends, lie to our parents........ if we are tolerant to our shortcomings, why cant we do the same to others
should we exercise our moral responsibility? only our goodself will know
