I have one suggestion.

Can the forum moderate the avatar that is being posted? Eg. Jimmychoo
Some of them is really not suitable and may give newbie or youngster a
wrong impression this golf forum.
These photos looks more like an AV site.

It a kind of FREEDOM that "we" wish to enjoy here, if anyone really feel that pics shouldn't be here, PM him and tell him NICELY.

actually i PM JC nicely abt his 1st original avatar regarding the longkang........

then he came back with the current avatar with a bigger longkang......


i wonder what his new avatar will be if I PM him NICELY again.......hmmmmm

We do not want to be over imposing but as a number of ppl had voiced out their concerns, we would help to relay the MSG. Hopefully won't get rivers next.

Maybe I can suggest to do what MSN Instant Messaging ...where you can configure to disable the avatar?.....As for me, as long as there is cloth covering the 'ahem ahem'...ok lah...

at the end of the day, I am sure common sense prevails....

Actually I find it nothing wrong. It's obviously legal.. And I really hope u don ask kc to remove his avatar cos his avatar really nice :-)

Its not a matter of it being legal or not. I am sure most of you enjoy viewing the longkang. It just that we do have junior as in young members and its not appropriate for them. My two cents. Thanks.

i agree. there are many people here who read but do not post, and some of them are young kids who are on the internet. they are here to read about golf, and for that reason, they are not surfing around in SB-F...
so we should of course exercise some self-censorship, so that we don't have to experience the mods breathing down our neck all the time. after all, they always claim they are not paid and doing this as a hobby and goodwill, why should we make their hobby more difficult?

furthermore, there are many women who might find our masculine appreciation of curvier and prettier women demeaning to the female sex. so, perhaps we should temper our display of appreciation for these nubile young things, which we definitely wont be able to find on this forum.

let's keep this forum solely and surely about golf, and leave out all the other things that make our life more interesting, such as girls, fast cars, and living dangerously.

and JC, u better take out your avatar lah. all the young kids see already, they do all the funny things, after that tell their parents they are looking at golfrepublic, then the parents also steam, come to golfrepublic only to realise that GR is talking about golf balls and not other type of balls.

Whatever avatar it is.... the parents or adults must do the filtering first. Filtering starts from the family and not the forum. I dun think any adults will search a forum for such avatars because you can always go SBF to see the entire picture. Its like your kids behave badly in school and the parents blame it on the teachers. If you play F up golf, dun blame it on your pro entirely. Its either you are not training hard enough or you are a LOFT.

in all honesty, i find nothing wrong with it......

if we are to go to any newspaper stands today, are all the golfpunk, FHM, Maxim etc etc etc in full view of the public, are they wrapped up so that only buyers can view after purchase...... so what's the difference between the front cover of these magazine to JC avatar.....

will the mods in GR tougher in censorship than the spore government??



curious to know what is the median age group of GR, between 6-18, 21-35, 40-55.....
