| I cheat. If I am having a bad driving day, I fall back on my fairway woods, hybrids or even the 7i to keep the ball in fairway There was even one time I got so fed up that I played a Par 5 with my 7i and shot bogey. Flightmates couldn't stop laughing | |

There was even one time I got so fed up that I played a Par 5 with my 7i and shot bogey. Flightmates couldn't stop laughing Bro, if it gets you a bogey, I don't care if you have to play the entire par 5 with a wedge That's good course management. I tend to believe that I'm a superhero and pretend that I can hit every shot straight and long. Unfortunately, my ego gets whacked after hole 1 and I end up limping for the rest of the 17 holes.

| That happens too often to me too. That's why i laid off golf for the last 2 weeks (tail between legs) and will be playing a round on Saturday. All courses are super crowded here this time of the year (how does golf in 20degC weather grab you?) so hard to get a tee-time for Friday Swing kena revamped, so I might end up playing hide and seek with my ball again. damn sian. | |

Again, my comments were my own. They were not meant to be legal. Just cause I practice the law doesn't mean that everything I say is legal. I can't believe you had to speak to a lawyer about this! LOL!! But that shows diligence on your part so good for you
You think that my request for sensitivity and discretion is a legal one? Mate, read the papers. See what's going on. Just look across the bridge and you will see how apparently simple issues are magnified many times over because people's tolerance these days is low. There is nothing legal about this.
Anyway, I agree that this issue should be put at rest. Let's leave it. Boy, i am really impress by the way you wriggle. No wonder you are a lawyer and i am not.

| Exactly. Some people got too much ego, or want to get the most out of their green fees, so maybe they just keep hacking away. Looking from behind them, it borders between comedy and tragedy. Anyway HCP calculation doesn't count holes more than a double bogey, or so i'm told. | |

The other problem with flight delays is that some golfers (myself included) believe that we're great and can tee off blue. I end up spending more time cursing my ego. So, I'm going to help speed things up by being realistic. I'm not a good golfer so playing off white works for me. In fact, I enjoy the game more and I don't cause too much frustration to the flight behind me.

You? I think in the 70s. Or low 80s at worst. But if you did so, the bigger concern would be injuring the flight in front with your long drives.

I remember seeing a thread previously on someone wanting to sell MX300. I know you have one set too, so you posted and say it was a good set of irons. But I think you also deleted te evidence away. So I dun think what wrong with others commenting on the sales thread. To be frank, you also inputted alot of crap (j/k) over the months, so let other people have a chance to post loh.

They unfortunately count holes more than a double bogey in Shanghai, not that it really matters. At the end of the day, I've never been asked what my handicap was outside of my golf lessons.

Sorry, bro, I don't follow. Yes, I have a set of MX300s. Yes, they are good irons. What was it that I said and deleted? And, I think the issues here are different. One is commenting about a set of irons. The other of which hinges on nationality/race.

| Also, I don't want to run from this point. Yes, yes, yes, I'm guilty of posting a lot of crap over the months. I'm spew it constantly and I apologize for the spam. Don't worry, it'll soon slow down.
Anyway, I didn't say that others cannot comment. In fact, I agreed the free speech is key. However, practice some discretion'lah. Don't anyhow say things which may trigger bigger issues.

| I dun know about the nationality/race and I am not bothered lah. But i just wonder why people cannot comment on a sale. Like siaw's post on the irons for sale and someone deleted SS post. Previously, i remembered you commenting on the MX300 that someone was selling. Nevertheless, its already been deleted i think.
I think golf forum should allow somebody to comment on a sales thread. If there is too much crap on the sales thread, the author should come in and say something lah, not the mods. If too much crap will take up server's space, then might as well take away those thread that got no relation to golf, like "get into the ring" and " actually, i also damn biased"

| If the marshall at MBGC drive up to you and offer you ride to the toilet.... then you know you are too slow and hold up the flight behind.
We were 4 in the flight out there near Christmas. I knew we were slow becos one of the newbie kept rolling the ball with 4woods. Marshall came up once to push us speeding up but then I could not could lah. Then I kept seeing marshallssssss drove up and down observing something for hte next few holes but not complaining. I can see the 3balls behind macam pro cannot tahan liao. Suddenly one marshall drove up toward us. I told him "sorry lah... we do our best already". But he ignored me with a smile and go direct to my mate and said "Excuse me! You want to go toilet isit? I can give you a ride. Very near only."
My mate "Yes", then turned to me "How does he know huh?"
By the time she got back, 3 of us already played 2holes liao. (But OK for her bcos she not keeping scores.)
See? That is a good marshall with brain. At least no black face or full of words.

| I appreciate that you're not bothered, Shotah. It's great that you're understanding but unfortunately, not everyone is. So, we need to balance the situation a little. Hope you understand.
And, I didn't delete SS' post. You may think it was me (since I spend a lot of time lurking around here) but it wasn't. Regardless, we are also trying to ensure that marketplace threads do not end up getting too cluttered with chitchat. Now, before you scream, I know that I'm guilty of this too and I've been reprimanded about this.
One of the key reasons to this rule is to ensure that the posts do not artificially get bumped. We want to give all buyers/sellers a fair chance to buy/sell their items. I hope you see the rationale in this approach.
