| I did consider that before since I am in the rough more than on the fairway... I made the decision not to in the end, as I would be sacrificing on distance and having less the hybrid, it forces me to play conservatively since I do not have the appropriate tools to get out of the thick rough. | |

| ok.. back to choice of 1) chiobu who spend tonnes of money and time puffing powder on the face-----1 hybrid vs 2) chiobu who spend tonnes of money and time fanning the pot cooking some beauty ginseng soup-------3 wood
It's back to personal choice again....

| I'm using a 2hybrid in place of a 2-3iron. Might throw a 3iron back in though. | |

| I tried my 3W which I didn't like. Ended up with a 17˚ 4W which is a little easier to hit. I've not tried a 1H or 2H but am tempted to move across. Somehow or other, I think I'm more confident hitting a H than a W. | |

| for me, its definitely the 1 hybrid.
i was playing with some new friends and i was using the cleveland 1i to tee off.
can go abt 200m to 210m. very controlled. my mates drove longer den me.
yet we all reach the green with the same number of strokes many times. some holes i even reach earlier as it doesnt stray.
3 wood, even off the tee, may stray. distance diff perhaps just 20m-30m diff.
my mates ended cursing and swearing and i earned their respect.
hey im a newbi golfer!!!

I assume you are talking about par5s? If distance is more than 210m to the green or I get unfavourable lie, I would lay up to 100m and attack from there. Otherwise, I would use either my 13° wood or 2i hybrid 18.0° or 4i 23.0° to go for the green.

| on average par 5 of 480m, if cant drive 260m, it's quite impossible to go for 2 on... so far, i have yet to try 2 on for any par 5 yet.... | |

| most people who can drive 240m-260m and have a good mastery of long irons and hybrids may be able to 2 on. | |
