| Having played Mizunos (MP14, MP32, MP60), Honma (LB280), and various Miura forgings, I'd have to say that the Miuras are pure butter on a clean strike compared to the Mizunos, and are at least as forgiving, if not more so. in fact, I find my MB-5003s more forgiving than my MP32s and MP60. However, Mizunos offer excellent value for money, cannot complain. With the MP68s hitting the market, it is a pretty good time to pick up a used set of MP67s. Personally, after my experience with having at least 6 sets custom fitted, I would prefer to buy heads only, then have a shaft custom fitted to match my swing characteristics here's what happens if your shaft is able to work for you (btw, this wasn't a one-off -- i was able to achieve 90+ mph consistently with my 7i, and benchmarked with other players to ensure the radar was working properly) | |

i only hit ard 65 mph for this set.... I learned that the harder you try to hit, the slower your swing speed becomes. I think golf is like tai chi, smooth is good, less is more. cannot muscle the shot, gotta flow....

| I agree wif ghoonk. Miuras are memorable!!!! Its feel is much nicer than the mizzies. But then again, it will cost you about $2k plus for a set. Mizzies at most will cost you $1.5k. Hence, i think mizzies are on overall much better for its value. | |

| Actually, I was lucky, got my MB-5003s for under 1.2k used, with KBS Tour shafts, and Golf Pride Full Cord grips (my favourite). A used set of MP67s should be in the region of SGD700 or less these days. Frankly, after hitting the 67s and the 32s, I still prefer my 32s. Mizzies are definitely much better value for money, but if you were to commit to one set of the next 7 to 10 years, then might as well invest in a set of Miuras... or save the money and get a damn nice set of wedges and a shiok driver to complete the set | |

| Now i know why his nick is seebayho. [/quote]
Haha Seebayho was refering to the forum not my skills. Jake can do sub 80 anytime, he swings like Phil Mickelson. That day we did not bet. So it can't bring out the best of his game.
Ghoonk, after your Bob Rotella CD. I am sure you can shave some strokes. And with your swing speed, puting 2 on will be easy than.

But this isn't the intent of the thread I wanted to know whether all forged irons felt as soft and buttery as Mizzies or is it something which Mizuno has managed to master ahead of the rest?
TS, think u will not be getting xmas cards from non-mizzies users.......
if i dare say, unless u have tried other brands of forged irons, what makes u think mizzies are soft n buttery..... a cut above the rest of the forged irons
i have tried the mp60, nakashima nx1, tourstage z101 (still my fav) n my current prototype irons, all also just as soft
have u play with the ikasu or the miuras..... they not soft n buttery meh
Thanks Slinger for helping me with the reply while i was playing golf at TMCC and shopping at SICC. I can only think oh one hokkien idiom for you TS...
"Jiao Kia Mm Paat Lastic" That's why we need golf pros like you around to guide us. You refering to me TS? I am not worthy. I am still unable to hit any clubs that gives me the soft and buttery feel like how you guys have describe on the mizzies. In fact, I dun even know how will soft and buttery feel when hitting the shots cos most of the time, I am more concern about where my ball goes. Like what i mention previously, not important, more important is where by ball end up.

Feel is one thing. Getting the ball to where I want it to go is another eh... i think both the two will work hand in hand leh..... maybe you should check on your alignment. you got buy chopsticks? At this stage, I need to buy the whole kitchen. And, while the both go hand-in-hand, consistency is key. I'm not as consistent as I'd like. When I hit the ball right (which doesn't happen often), the feel is amazing.
