TITLEIST 690MB Forged Irons VS 690.MB Forged Irons, any difference pls?

Hi morning to all,
I need help.

I recently inherited a set of Titleist 690MB Forged Iron Set.
Googled and found out Titleist got another model stated 690.MB Forged Iron Set, any difference?

690mb came out in Year 2002 whereas 690.mb was offered in 2005. From what I read, the lie angle is more upright & shaft is longer with the 690.mb. I have a set of 690.mb and I find it very much like my 712mb. The sole is difference though. They are really nice irons.

I read on the golfreview.com that this 690MB was "available in limited quantities", thinking maybe no "demand" then...

ur welcome bro ... good to inherit such good stuff... I dun think blades advance a lot in recent years. Pair them up with a suitable shaft and you are ready to go... if you find them too demanding u can always sell them in the forum... or to me... lol

I just checked the shafts...cant really see clearly...looked like True Temper TX-90...

Anyway if I cannot handle them, I will let them go. And bro Pizzaman, u will have the "first right of refusal"...

to check the specs of the shaft, take out one of the grips (most used condition one, or from 3 or 4 iron which you use the least). See the serial number at the grip end of the shaft. Not all shafts will indicate there though. If you wanna salvage the grip & have the time, go youtube search "poor man's grip removal". cheers
