| All these different & latest model is never endind as it is driven by market that everyone want the latest & the best model.
But we should consider a set that is good enough that need not need to change for the next 3~5 years. One time, One shot, pay abit more. Get a GOOood set.

| "But when I got forged clubs, they were much less forgiving and needed more attention."
I think it is not forged or casted that make it forgiving or other wise. It is the clubhead design. I believe a forged cavity will be more forgiving than a cast blade set.

Maybe TS want the reassurance from the mass that he got a set of good irons. Nope. Just really liking my Mizzies and I wonder why I never considered them before. - jaketang wrote:

hitting 7iron 120m now... JT, only because you're not used to the irons yet. I had that problem when I first tried out my irons but after you play them for a while, the distance comes back. - sunny wrote:

But this isn't the intent of the thread I wanted to know whether all forged irons felt as soft and buttery as Mizzies or is it something which Mizuno has managed to master ahead of the rest?

| what buy...built you mean..
i got too many options right now....including an old AP2 which comes with a stronger loft. my heart and confidence is with the current set and the shaft is performing at its peak right now.
so plan B is now in the cupboard...

TS, think u will not be getting xmas cards from non-mizzies users....... if i dare say, unless u have tried other brands of forged irons, what makes u think mizzies are soft n buttery..... a cut above the rest of the forged irons i have tried the mp60, nakashima nx1, tourstage z101 (still my fav) n my current prototype irons, all also just as soft have u play with the ikasu or the miuras..... they not soft n buttery meh

hitting 7iron 120m now... Jake, have u considered comparing the lofts of both sets? If you were using GI clubs where PW lofts are like 44-45* and coming to a player's club where lofts are more where they shd be (PW 47*), that's where the 'loss' of distance comes in. Honestly, most forged clubs are soft metal anyway. Some softer or not I dunno. I only know the club will feel very different with different shafts. If its not in the right shaft for me, it will feel crap. If its fitted well, it will feel damn bleddy good.

| When I changed to MP from R7, i lost distance. I think I compared loft of prev club n MP before... MP is weaker in loft. So, i guess it's normal to lose distance ba. But as time passes, I got back the distance or more. (not sure if it's swing though. ) JT, be patient!! It's okay if you lose distance & played badly... (FYI, his bad is about 92) | |
