| Ricky is definitely on form coming into the Open, having just won the Scottish Open. Jordan Spieth is the media darling now, gunning for major number 3. The eventual winner has to be able to play well in the wind, so high ballers need not apply - I think if they were playing, some lowballing visitors to the GR marketplace will stand a good chance of winning. | |

| With the absence of Rory McIlroy who is actually the defending champion, Jordan Spieth moves one notch up to realize his 3rd Grand Slam ...
I believe the other potential contenders would be Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Sergio Garcia ... And perhaps Jonathan Day ...

| The Open is certainly wide-open this time around.
Spieth would be my favourite and I fancy Ricky Fowler to be in the mix as well.
My long shot would be Paul Casey who is playing some decent golf and was in the final pairings on the Old Course five years back.
Whatever happens I'm looking forward to watching!

| I like Paul Casey. He has steadily push himself into contentions for big tournies now. Pretty strong player and nice compact swing | |

| Looks like TW is in trouble ... His iron shot was like a seasoned social golfer ... Not only the first hole second shot went into the drain, all his iron tee shots in the first few holes were way behind Jason Day and Louis O ... Now TW is +4 after 9th hole ... He may miss the Cut if he continue with this kinda performance. Jason Day and Louis O at -3 after 9th hole. TW so far does not dare to use driver.
Hopefully Hideki Matsuyama can bring Asia proud ... He looked steady and sharp in the first few holes ... His playing partners are Dustin Johnson and Jordan Speith ... All of these 3 are on form ... Very sharp and accurate ... Dustin Johnson and Spieth at -6 after 11th hole whilst Hideki at -2.

Can't get any worse than this right? The future will be better for TW. Probably need a mental coach now.

| Dustin Johnson is on Fire! He carded -10 after 2nd round. Actually he has many close calls to clinch a number of major championship over the years. The last was US Open 2015. Spieth could only manage -5 after the 2nd round. He is prolly under pressure to win his 3rd Major championship ... Trying to be the next man to win all the grand slams in modern era ...
TW missed the cut whilst David Duval will be playing over the weekend ...

| TW is still weak in all areas of the game ... He is not the TW who won the Open in St Andrew many years ago ... I guess he put too much pressure on himself to improve ... Plus the media reports on his progress are not doing him any good ... | |

| Dustin Johnson and D Willet are neck to neck at -9 after 3rd round ... Dustin has not completed his 3rd round though ... He is still playing his 15th ... The leaderboard appears to be very crowded ... It is gonna be tough during the final round ... Better to play a little conservative for both leaders ... | |

| Critics say TW is done. Utterly done. Completely done. Commentators say TW has no desire to play. He rather be anywhere else than St Andrews. The wait has been too long. He has been missing cuts. He is no longer the same. No longer the legend, lost the aura, and more mortal now, perhaps like a weekend social golfer. His best days are over. He won't break JN's records. Blah blah.
Hope he'll be back, so we can enjoy watching again.

| TW is perhaps gonna be like David Duval. i.e. retired for good and continue to live a luxury lifestyle with his massive wealth ... But one thing for sure is, he does not need to earn a living providing golf analysis for golf channels like Brandel Chamblee, David Duval, Nick Faldo ... etc. | |

| When someone not performing like before, he/she gets the critics! But when tat someone recovered and win something, he/she gets praises from the same person who criticized him. What a world. | |
