| I'm in JB. Haven't visited any petrol kiosks yet but will do so soon. In the meantime, a mate of mine who drives a SG car but lives in JB had no issue pumping petrol (as much of it as he wants) at the Caltex Station in Pelangi. | |

| No lah, just a thought only.
Anyway, my car with 3/4 full, can only manage to squeeze in 20L max.
Btw, petrol is the same, only depend on what additive the petrol company added in.

| Taken from the NST Malaysia.
KUALA LUMPUR: From today, the sale of petrol and diesel to foreign-registered vehicles at border towns is capped at 20 litres per vehicle. Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said all petrol stations at border towns had been notified.
Last week, Ismail announced the ministry's decision that each foreign vehicle at border towns would be allowed to buy only 20 litres of petrol or diesel.
He said the rule also applied to foreign vehicles leaving the country and that vehicles would be checked at the border to ensure no excess fuel was pumped.
He also said the move was aimed at preventing smuggling and profiteering at border towns.
Petrol and diesel retails lower in Malaysia compared with Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.
However, Ismail said Singapore registered cars were exempted from border checks.
The Singapore government does not allow any Singapore-registered vehicle to leave the republic without three quarters of a tank of fuel.
"(For example), if they (Singaporeans) come to Johor Baru just for a short trip and when they leave, they still have a substantial amount of oil left.
"So, they are exempted from the ruling of having 20 litres in their tanks because of the three-quarters tank policy.
"When they leave, they will still have a substantial amount of fuel left so if we impose the 20-litre limitation, it will cause problems because that fuel must have been purchased in Singapore."
He said owners of foreign-registered vehicles had to travel more than 50km if they wanted to pump more than 20 litres of fuel.
He said any border town stations caught flouting the rule would be fined RM250,000 while individuals will be fined RM100,000 or three years' jail, or both.
