I like my home course (Subang Golf) but I've also enjoyed KLGCC only because at some holes, you can see the city, e.g. the KL Tower and Twin Towers. But, KLGCC is really ex 3) Prefer to play weekend/weekday? Weekday. It's less crowded and there are usually good offers.

| for me, weekday prefer Singapore ....any course is good course to me...ideally < 150 green fees. when EPL season start, then depending on performance, might be able to increase allocated budget for green fees
For me, weekend prefer JB (if I visiting relatives in JB)......Ponder, PalmR and PalmV...

| Have any of your guys thought of flying up to BKK for golf? There are really some lovely courses up there. And if you wanted to, you can actually stay at some of them. While I love to play Singapore and Malaysia, the idea of being able to make a real holiday out of a golf trip is so much more inviting.
And if you book teh air tickets early enough, the cost isnt considerably more.
Air Ticket and lodging are resonable if you dont need 5 star service. Some 3 to 4 star hotels are charging like SGD40 to SGD60 a day only. And these are the al-cheapo kind of hotels. they are actually rather nice. you might not get cable TV, a butler service, but heh, we are on teh golf course anyway.
A van rental inclusive of airport pick up and all the other trips you will make is like THB2000 a day. Thats all in, drive to makan, golf, back to hotel, out to makan, out to party, out to makan, back to hotel, koon... next day staert again!
Golf courses will range from THB2400 to THB3300, but that is with a caddy (that can usually play better then us) and cart.
Check out the site below for some nice courses.

I would recommend in order of course attraction: Amata Springs Muang Kaew Lam Lukka Panya Indra
Next stop MACAU!!! | |

| Vietnam (especially near HCM/Saigon) has great golf courses also though they are slightly more expensive in terms of green fees than Thailand.
Monty just finished construction of a new 18-hole course closer towards Hanoi in the north.

| for thailand, u might wan to consider below,
1) Legacy GC (formerly National Park GC) 2) PineHurst (used to be SUPERB attractive cost the caddies are all part-timers from nearby University, only for night golf)
but if travelling just to play golf, i suggest northern part rather then BKK, coz weather is cooler and cheaper too.
