3D2N golf trip ... where do you prefer?

For 3D2N golf trip over the weekend (Fri, Sat & Sun) ... where do you prefer to go if you have a choice and why?

malacca.....

1) near, only 2 hrs drive
2) not expensive (less than rm$200 wkend)
3) food n shopping
4) KL is only abt another 11/2 hr away


batam/bintang... also can

but not as cheap as malacca, nite time dunno do what since no transport, food not so good....


bangkok is also nice, green fees more since its wkend n need to include transportation, good food, soothing massages, nite time can go jalan jalan...

fri am flight, can play fri pm golf (around airport area), sun am golf followed by sun pm flight back.... can play 3 rounds

Malacca would be a good choice since we seldom travel up there to often, Bintan is good too but abit pricy over the weekend, Bangkok abit too short, if bangkok, should plan 5 days 4 round golf.

So I think Malacca is the best choice, can drive up by ourself, cheap food, hotwl and green fee, if anyone organizing, can count me in.

Play golf in melaka during wk end is ok but don't go to town it will be jam all around.

Can have game at Orna, Tiara and Air Keroh.

If you are NSRCC member, I think there is some courses affiliated to, so you can play at cheaper rate.

Come come come, lets organize a trip there, weekend night got pasamalam there, can shop shop, cheap cheap look see look see, eat and drink there.

Imagine you are playing along the beach, up hill, highland looking down to the sea. then down hill....

Jakarta. Lion Air cheap and can check in golf bag no extra charge.

Plenty of good courses like Royal Jarkarta, Imperium and even Cenkarang next to the airport. Hotel cheap and plenty to do at nite

any estimate of price in SGD for a couple of games and 2N hotel accommodation + transfers please?

IIRC LIon Air return ranges from $99-200 depending on offer etc

I stayed at Mercure Kota last time at $60 pn about 4*

Transfers I take BlueBird Taxi by meters. From golf course to hotel about rp60-100 depends on distance.

Royale Jarkata was about rp1.2m on Sat. You can check online for prices. If you have CIMB card, can play quite a few courses with free Green.

I once did Hua Hin in 3d2n and the best part? Managed to squeeze in 3 rounds. Landed at BKK then had a mini bus take us to the first course directly at Hua Hin called Springfield. Next day was the Banyan followed by the 3rd day at Black Mountain then went straight to airport after that. Just your usual average golfer I guess =P

It will be very rush on day one n last day...

phuket. fly in early morning and can possibly do 2 games on the first day. another 2 games on 2nd day and 1 last game on 3rd day before flying back late pm. quite a number of clubs to choose from such as blue canyon, red mountain, phuket country club... have fun!

Transport can be arrange by Travel Agency.
