Seebayho, can clarify how the excess work? Per club? Eg lose entire bag. Excess of 200 would almost mean no claim possible.

But if they consider entire bag worth 1.5k and pay out 1.3 then it is different matter. If they assess individual clubs claim the sum above 200 and add up, then claim sum probably only 1-200 for drivers plus woods only.

usually with insurance, its excess per claim. so if you lost the entire bag, it will be 200 for that claim, however if you just lost/damaged a single club it would probably be better to not make a claim and just replace/repair the lost/damaged club yourself.

not an expert in this, just my interpretation of insurance

Does it include claims from injured parties and accidental damage to the golf course's properties?

Scenario 1: Lost whole bag
$100 premium, excess $50 claim up to $3000
$50 premium , Excess $200 can claim up to $2000

Scenario 2: Broke 1 club
$100 premium, Excess $50 can claim up to $300
$50 premium, Excess $200 can claim up to $2000

Insurance are actuarially calculated, it short you pay more you will get more.
When you pay less you will get less.

Eiji is correct, if you want to claim make sure you claim big!

Sorry! I need to clarify something. When u said excess, do u mean that as long as the damage cost is more than $50 or $200, u can make a claim. While it is less than that then no claim?

Am I correct?

Hi Opus,

The baggage damage from air travel? If so, some airlines like SQ allows you to claim as well.

Hi ,

Just to clarify if it is a typo error....

under Scenario 2,
$100 premium, Excess $50 can claim up to $300 (should this be $3,000 ?)
