| I was told the Project X is more "wooden", but I have personally tested an old season rifle shaft. It was sweet and has very nice kick! The kick and feel was actually better than KBS despite it was stiff shaft. I was confused, that is why I put up this poll.
BTW, do try the True Temper Tri Gold- it is amazing. http://www.martingolfusa.com/84.html

| SBH: KBS has this smooth feel, in fact it matches your smooth swing. | |

| Depends on the PX, if it is the old satin one I'd take PX over KBS. If it is the new, polished version... I'd prefer the KBS. | |

| Nope, the very first PX was satin. It was way before True Temper buy Precision Rifle... | |

| Precision Rifle IS NOT PX! Project X has different profiles altogether than the Precison Rifle and they are geared towards stronger players... | |

| Okay, maybe I didn't make it clear the first time around. I assume you knew this... Precision Rifle was a shaft made by this company called Royal Precision. So was Project X. While the Precision Rifle offered extensive flexes for players (flexes ranging from 4.5 - 7.0, I think), Project X was developed to cater for stronger players. Heavier weights and different kick point which results in lower ball flight (a very different profiles) than the Royal Precision.
The Precision Rifle shafts had shiny, polished finish to it while the Project X (back in those days) had a satin finish.
A few years ago, True Temper bought Royal Precision and when they took it over the PX comes with polished, shiny finish as opposed to satin. Ever since, the PX has a slightly (if not much) different profile to the original satin finish...

Exactly what i found out, the KBS has a higher launch than the PX. But KBS' wedge shaft was great! I'll get the new DG Spinner tomorrow and I will put an identical head to my current wedge (with Rifle Spinner) and compare the two head-to-head. Wish I had the FST HiRev too, so we can have a 3-way fight. Too bad BFG didn't have any more stock when I was there...

Notice any difference between the satin and chrome PX? Actually not much... very minute difference i feel... PX (Satin) 5.5 plays like a PX (Chrome) 6.0

| I have the satin px in 5.0 flex as well as the kbs tour stiff. Both offer fantastic feel, the smooth yet stable whip that i like, but I lose distance with the kbs tour stiff - suspect that it is too stiff for my swing speed, but they are both as accurate as long as my swing is consistent. | |
