| Only only thing that can be done is scold them and report Marshall. Thinking back should have picked up their ball and throw into the water haha | |

| Of all golf rules, the most important rule is that never hit a ball to front flight, as this could kill. How to ensure everyone follows this rule? | |

| @gymrat76, you should put some markings on your ball for easy identification. Titleist balls are used by lots of golfers you know. Regarding your incident, maybe you were out of sight when the flight behind decided to tee off? If not, then the names of the Japs must be Kanninabeh-san. | |

| Always make it a point not to go looking for your flight mates' balls together if you are within range. Leave a buggy on the fairway to let others know that you are still there. For those wanting to tee off, it is good practice to send one of your flight mates to check it out if the flight in front has cleared before you tee off. | |

Yeah, my balls are all marked usually. Just happened to be using one of the balls I bought right before the game cos I realized I may not have enough balls that day. Anyway, my buggy was parked on the fairway, the ball landed within a few metres of my buggy so no way they couldn't have seen me.

| A couple of weeks ago, one of our caddies got struck by a golf ball which landed right on top of his head. He wore a cap an unfortunately the ball landed right on the ball of his cap and needless to say it wasn't a pretty sight. I thought he was not going to make it as I applied pressure to stop the bleeding. I was told the golfer didn't shout or alert the group at the opposite tee box when his ball sailed in that direction. | |

Yeah.. that just happened in my yesterday Sunday game... idiotic golfer said he could not see the green and take his shot which landed on our tee box adjacent to his green. He did not even ask his flight mate to check or look out for him or to shout if his shot stray. Only when he came looking for his ball and when we pointed where his ball laneded, only did he realised he could have hit us and started apologising profusely. We let it go cos he apologise again and again..... well - good thing nothing to anyone..... Look like the golf course is becoming a warzone soon...

| normally if I want to attack pin, I will even wait for the flight ahead to get on their buggy. I have walked out from the putting green a few times with ball flying in from behind that did not land on the green but on the rough. | |

| Look like there is no way we could eliminate this problem. No wonder such incidents happen again and again. These uncivilized golfers will just happily do it forever and would not care for the rest. | |

| The following are only considered as etiquette. Does it mean if a person is hit, he can only blame himself for having bad luck on that day?
GOLF ETIQUETTE 101
The Spirit Of The Game Unlike many sports, golf is played, for the most part, without the supervision of a referee or umpire. The game relies on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players and to abide by the Rules. All players should conduct themselves in a disciplined manner, demonstrating courtesy and sportsmanship at all times, irrespective of how competitive they may be. This is the spirit of the game of golf.
Safety Players should ensure that no one is standing close by or in a position to be hit by the club, the ball or any stones, pebbles, twigs or the like when they make a stroke or practice swing. Players should not play until the players in front are out of range. Players should always alert greenstaff nearby or ahead when they are about to make a stroke that might endanger them. If a player plays a ball in a direction where there is a danger of hitting someone, he should immediately shout a warning. The traditional word of warning in such a situation is "fore."

| I think there are countless incidents of golfers being reckless.. My buddy was hit in the back just 10cm below his head while standing on the tee box at Kranji a month back.. The ball was from the other fairway and none of the golfers in that flight shouted. Nobody bothered to watch for each other's ball. And the reason that errant golfer gave was he didn't see where his ball flew... I hope everybody could be a tad more patient and exercise much more care on the course, especially on courses which fairways are close to each other.. | |

| I believe you can sue under the civil court for distress, injury (if you are injured), medical consultation, loss of income, etc... Your lawyer should be able to advice on this matter. | |

| I think it's wise to get a golfer's insurance. Premium is as low as §60 and it includes coverage in case if death, injuries, medical reimbursement, equipment insurance etc both on the course or driving range. | |

I hope everybody could be a tad more patient and exercise much more care on the course, especially on courses which fairways are close to each other.. I think the teebox at Hole 2 or 3 at Kranji is quite dangerous. On 2 different occassions, i had stray balls from the opposite fairway coming at me while I was at the teebox. Be alert if you are there. It's almost impossible to hear the other flight shouting if there's F16s flying around te area.

Ok, we ignored n did the usual thing ie: read the distance via range finder, wind direction n warmg up etc.. Then another ball landed on the red tee box! No warng no callg at all! The players came, a foreigner (jap or either korean) accompany by a singaporean claimg tat the ball on the red tee box is his! I quoted to them to "Please shout fr Fore"! The foreigner golfer apology bt nt the shy away singaporean. 2) Monday 11th, Sentosa Serapong hole 12 par 5, two golfers behind us n as we re drivg off just after completed this hole, a ball hit our buggy! I stopped n lookg ard, picked up the ball n waited fr the claimer! Is fm this 2 balls flight behind n both came lookg fr his ball instead lookg anxious to see whether any mishap if. No shout was given! Went up to him n informed him tat his missing ball had hitted our buggy n its unsafe! Ya...he apologised as usual only when someone approached n his explanation was tat he has wrong clubs in hand since buggy strictly on track! Wat a day tat me n my flight mates survived!
