Golf ball from behind flight landed on the green while we're still there!

sad. we all shd be more patient n gracious. we r out for 4-5 hrs of chill n fun. why ruin it !
 
i always remind myself  to err on cautious side, if not sure can reach wait lor, why risk hitting a great shot n endanger the flight infront n get scolded n ruin ur day !
 if we land our ball near or at others unknowingly, we r still in the wrong, apologise graciously, eat humble pie if they point finger, responsibilty is on us not to hit others on the course !
if u bump into un reasonable golfers, hopefully not many around, dont waste time n breath with them, if u feel led then complain to the marshal or club hse, green committee etc maybe the guy have a list of bad records !

The battle is against the pin not others on the course !

Club Marshal, how many of them really did help up?  
Think when arrows re flyg ard, they re the first to run out of the course.

I think its a win win, no need to apologize. Everyone gets to practice and improve. The idea is similar right? The intent being not wanting to hit the person, however if it does. Oh well, just lucky and dry air.
   

Maybe all golf buggy now need to install video cam like what they had on most Singaporean cars now... to record golf rage..... for court evidence.....        ...

I was explaining that the reason given by that golfer was rubbish. It contradicts.

After the incident, better check my golf insurance is timely renewed. Never assume every golfer behaves as gentleman.

Yesterday playing at Mandai as we were walking down the par 5 fairway a ball rolled and hit my wife's cart. I looked and the guy from the next hole waved, but didn't even should ball. He was teeing off from the blue but the shot went to the far right into our fairway... think next time really must wear helmet liao

Too much dead leaves on the sides, saw a few balls land but couldn't find after  

With the super windy condition in the past few months, balls can fly very far.

From 210m, I hit a 4 hybrid 170m club and it landed 2 metres from the green due to the strong tail wind. Never had to pay much attention to wind previously but I noticed that the wind condition these days are so strong that a ball flying towards the left side of the fairway will land in the rough off the right side of the fairway.

Also cos ground is dry and hard the ball keeps bouncing and always overshoot

Feeling of front flight golfers would not be good even if the golf ball from behind stops from a short distance of say 10m away from them

A few months ago, we were on the fairway at Tropicana in KL when the one of the guys behind tee-off and the ball rolled across my wife who had just finished hitting her ball. She was furious obviously.  Mind you- that guy drove about 250m or so and later holes, I see that he's a long driver, consistently over 220+*.  Now, he didn't even come over to apologize.  We told the marshal about that, she drove back to them.  He conveyed their apologies to her and I told them that is not enough.  After 3 holes and only cos we were held up by the front flight, they caught up with us and apologize to tell us not to report.  I'd have driven all the way there to apologize if it was me!  

Another time in Glenmarie, the flight behind hit over us and they immediately drove up to apologize.

The long hitter must be an experienced golfer and yet he fails to follow the basic rules

I just to play at Royal Bangkok Sports Club- it's a city par-66 course.  A lot of criss crossing holes.  I always wondered why folks use umbrellas even when it's cloudy and then I realized that there are a few occasions when balls from other holes will miss their intended direction... But Thais are very friendly folks and cos it's a very exclusive club where almost everybody knows everybody, they tend to be apologetic and come immediately to apologize unless it's some old man who will then send his caddy to apologize and offer to buy drinks, etc.

That sounds very dangerous. How to be relax with such conditions?

Time to invent a golf hat that is as solid as helmet.

Dunno I suay or what. Yesterday was playing at Tg Puteri at the Par 5 and was looking for my ball near the trees (saw my ball hit the top of the palm tree but didn't see where it went after). Then I saw the same ball lying in front of the tree (Titlist) and was going to hit with my iron when I heard someone shouting. I looked back and these 2 Jap players were speeding towards me waving me off a few times... apparently it was their ball. Idiots did a drive when we were still on the fairway and it landed close enough that I thought it was my ball

After reading all these posts, I conclude that it is not uncommon for the flight behind to hit their balls to reach the front flight. Some are unintentional, and some intentional. Some would shout to warn, and some wouldn't. What can we do to protect ourselves?
