Like to share this views with brothers and sisters herI found from internet.

ABOUT GROWING OLDER...

First ~Eventually you will reach a point when you stop lying about your age and start bragging about it.

Second ~ The older we get, the fewer things seem worth waiting in line for.

Third ~ Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way. I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Fourth ~ When you are dissatisfied and would like to go back to youth, think of Algebra.

Fifth ~ You know you are getting old when everything either dries up or leaks.

Sixth ~ I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.

Seventh ~ One of the many things no one tells you about aging is that it's such a nice change from being young.

Eighth ~ One must wait until evening to see how splendid the day has been.

Ninth ~ Being young is beautiful, but being old is comfortable.

It also means that you won't be too concerned about not hitting that 250yd drive. Save money on that potential new Driver.

Once in a while I would drive the ball (carry and roll) from 280yds to 300yds. I did that yesterday at Poresia Sakura Par 5 (about 285yds). At my age, I cannot be happier.Very Happy

And, yes, I don't buy new equipment anymore. I buy "experienced" equipment from golfers who no longer needs it if it's a good deal.Very Happy

It's a stock SR shaft. Bought the Callaway Octane from a bro here and start to use it last Sat and Sun. Problem is I have to adjust the ball position as it has the tendency to draw.

The other driver I bought from another bro here is the Titleist 905R. It is equally good and offer about the same distance. The shaft is R from Aldila NV something. I would rank this a more friendly though.

In 2 years I will be reaching 60 and am not sure how far I can drive the ball.Sad

I too have swapped from using steel shafts for my irons to graphite. In fact, moving from KBS Tours to Matrixes Regulars (78gs) was quite a drop. I'm adjusting to the gear. It's not easy (at least psychologically) but I'm learning to accept reality that distance is now less of a factor.

I have a flight mate who is already 63 and out-driving everyone. You know his average driving distance - 280yds on the average including carry and roll.Shocked  I think his hcp is 7 or 8. So I am taking his age as a gauge to my future golfing when I pass 60.Very Happy

What a coincidence. I was just looking at the various shafts available this morning as I'm considering taking out my kbs from my irons and replace them with lighter graphites. I was looking at the program 80/95. How do you find the Matrix shafts?

Aldila NV? The green shaft? I use to use NV65. Getting older and find lighter NV55 suit better. But never reach the 285 yards you did and I think that pretty good distance for a driver. My iron are now the lighter 850 instead of 950. Sigh.... only the short game help to maintain the score. Diffcult to get regulation and using alot of untility wood to cover up for the short drive. If I can hit 285 yard, I will be a very happy man... Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Yes . NV65. But that's carry and roll. I am using steel shafts NS Pro 950 for my iron but my irons are killing me softly. I can no longer handle my irons. With woods I have no problem. Sad

I love them. I never thought I'd like graphite iron shafts. I always figured myself to be a tough guy... why play with fragile toothpicks Smile But really, they are a life saver. I don't feel as strained after the game and I enjoy the sport a lot more.

It took a bit of getting used to (I'm still adjusting) but I do like them. One of the best decisions I ever made.

My next change will be to try the SF i80s. I doubt I'll go back to steel shafts again.

@Technospaz

The i80 looks good! From paper specs, may fit me better than the Program 80. Where can I get this in Singapore?
