Still got some with me from a 30 ball pack I bought at NSRCC for just $12. A real steal! u sure is 30 balls for $12?? is the offer still on??

| Hi all, It is very informative to read all the inputs.
I have also been looking for a ball and try to stick to it. Can recommend a suitable ball for me?
I m using R7 Limited 9.5 driver fitted with a Graman 5 shaft. Driving distance abt 230m. The ball flight tends to take off and fade towards the end and I noticed that my ball doesnt roll. I am actually able to see the ball mark when the ball landed close to where the ball is.
I know that it is due to my swing but I was hoping to compensate with part equipment and balls and hopefully it will work.
My Irons shots are high and doesn roll much which works for me.
Should I get a low spin ball?
Tried the ProV1, Nike Platinum, TP Red, TP Black and the slightly cheaper ones like NXT Tour, DT Carry, Gamer, e5, Nike PD.
Hoping to use a mid price balls too.
I only get to play golf once a week (best case scenario either at range or green) and make effort to play once on green monthly due to work. Will not be able to invest time to change my swing...
thanks
thanks, | |

| Noodle+ Long/Soft are IMO very good for its price. Very soft when hit with driver, good distances/roll. Spin just average or even not so much, and hence the super low price.
If you want Titleist ProVI performance but dont want to pay Titleist price, then TM TP Red or Black are good options. On my good shots, the TP black would bite on the green with not much difficulty (or is it because of the zip grooves on my CG14?). Do note some batches of TP Red balls dont confirm to USGA, so they cant be played in tournaments.
I've gamed E6+ and E5, and for a lower price, Noodle performs about the same and give softer feel. Sorry if it sounds like an ad. I just love Noodle hahaha
Transview usually sell these balls during their sale at Isetan Shaw at very good price.

| I've played so many balls over the years, and have finally found one that works for me -- Bridgestone e6+. Really does cut sidespin, so if you're the kind of shapes shots, don't bother with this. My shots are mostly straight with some fade at times, so these help keep my shots in play.
I've also tried the TP Red, TP Black, v1, v1x, Tour i, Tour ix, Noodle, Srixon Soft Feel, and prefer TP red over TP black, v1 over v1x, and ix over i, but for value for money, Noodle comes in top. Saw them going cheap at the last Pan West sale, but the graphics looked like 2007 ones, so I didnt buy them

| I only use 2nd hand balls. Am not a great golfer, and my golf balls have a natural affinity for nature, especially water, flower beds, and OB | |

Not sure if the price is the same or they increased it for the Gamers. They may have priced it as such cos they didn't realise the full value of the balls. I also bought a 30 ball pack of Maxfli Blackmax for $12 a couple years back. Now they sell them in a 10 ball pack for the same price. They finally worked out that it was a urethane ball. Same might apply for the Gamers.

| Apparently hard 2 piece balls designed to go straight with no spin around the greens.
But no, I haven't tried them myself. Was good value for money though, esp since each box comes with 12 zero friction tees.

| no spin? maybe we should get a couple of them, bring them down to the den, get a control wedge (DGman has a nice Ikasu wedge there), and hit the ZFs, the Pro V1s, etc.
Let's say 20 shots per ball by the same player random sequence (i.e don't hit all 20 Pro V1s, then move on to the Zfs, because player would get tired and swing differently) record the model and spin rate off the trackman eliminate the top and bottom 10% or 15% of each set of results for each ball, and average out the spin rates on the remaining results Compare these results, and see how much more spin premium balls really get.
who knows, we might be on to something here!
