heel spur - remedies?

any bros have heel spur? any good remedies?

i have been having heel spur for a few months now after golfing a lot more since last year. worst is the first few steps in the morning then it gets better throughout the day. it does get worse immediately after a round of golf - often limping after buggy return. feel it the most when barefooted or on slippers. feels better on sneakers and birkenstock sandals.

tried massaging my heel/foot daily (by hand and roling foot on golf ball) and also taking "tian qi fen" - some herbal powder from Eu Yan Sang to improve blood circulation. so far, still annoying.

Get a horse bro.

Add heel cushions to yr shoe. It helps alot

yeah that helps but trying to get it to heal.

Bro what you have now i got it many years ago......then it took me nearly 2 mths of seeing a Chinese Teida shifu to get it cure. I see him every 2 to 3 days to have him used chinese medical oil to rub on the affected heel. It's pain like hell during the first few sessions but after that i can feel that the pain is getting lesser and every morning when i wake up i can put my heel down on the floor. This is one injury that you need to get it cure if not in the long trem you will suffer even more.

i am not giving up, played CGC this week, practised chipping nsrcc today, probably practise irons/woods tomorrow and playing OCC next Monday - even when i am limping, hahaha.

There was an article in last months Golf Digest on this problem, with some easy remedies..

I also have the pain.

Very good remedies, seems to be caused by tight tendons on outside of the feet.

@shorthitter: good to know i am not alone, hehehe. hmmm will try to find that article. did the remedies work for you? i have seen thise remedies using iron shaft to grind on below the calf area, roll heel on golf ball or tennis ball, use knuckle to massage from arch to heel.

i went to putt and range today - feeling pretty sore on my heel now.

I had this few years ago from overgolfing. Played 5 rounds a week
carry n walk. The area in front of the ball of feet hurts so much in the morning.
Even tried stopping golf for few months doesn't help. All type of off the shelves cream didn't help too.

Eventually went to western doctor wanting asking for steroid injection. But was administered
NSAID instead. Recovered within 2 weeks. Now 2 years past and that dreadful pain still has not
recurred.

Hi, I had bone spurs in my heel, ankle and knee. Scope surgery was the only cure for me. Immobilised for three months but worth the effort. I was a contact sports-type when younger - soccer, rugby, boxing, etc. The injuries then returned to haunt me. May want to check out possibility of surgery. Yes, invasive and GA.
