Hope this helps yes but can you use it like a GPS when driving on the road? if so then a GPS type app is not needed

| There is a glitch in the screen of iphone 5. When the phone is plugged in charging, the touch screen goes cranky and is not sensitive to touch, lags n jumps to different screens etc. But it works fine when not plugged in charging. Strange. Anyone has the same problem?
Compared with the S3 which I am also using, it's a great phone...clear n fast, but I still prefer the iphone as I just can't get accustomed to the Android OS, esp the keyboard. I keep typing the wrong letters & numbers . My personal preference.

| Oh ok. Thanks. Hmmmm I should monitor mine then. I did the first 8 hr charge yesterday & that happened. I hope it won't again. All the previous iphones had no such issue. Hope I didn't get a faulty one | |

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try turn off & on the phone when it was still charging but it didn't work, the screen remained cranky. I will try switching off the phone first b4 plugging it in to charge & turn it on again after charging it for awhile & see wat happens.

Pretty good IMO, but at $19.99 (I bought it when it was $4.99 or something) it would be a little expensive. Probably wait for it to go on sale. The other one is Mobitee. That one I know I got it for free, but it was during a app store sale :-)

They both look good thx. golfshot has very good map style. Is it easy to use? Last time i tried prologix interface was a mess.
Can you they access your scorecards and stats after a round on the internet. Imo that is a good point for swingbyswing is that you can go online on your pc or ipad log into your account , and see your data anytime, so it s not only in your iphone that you can see your stats it s also stored on their server. Also can send link to friend and they can follow your round live on the web site!
If price goes down a bit i ll try your 2 apps... fyi the swingbyswing is free for basic features and stat.

| Golfshot is free now, for tracking scores and statistics. Golfshot GPS is the same app but provides GPS readings, and its a paid app.
I've used iPhone 3GS, then changed to Samsung Galaxy S2, then Sony Xperia S and now to iPhone 5. I love the iPhone for its speed, its stability (Android apps crash more often, and when Ice Cream Sandwich was released it was very buggy), the screen and most of all the battery life. Android devices are just nowhere in comparison in terms of battery life. I'm charging my Galaxy S2 and Xperia S more often than using it. Due to the smaller size, I have way less typos than Android devices. I also find the apps for iPhone more sophisticated and better written.
The hates about iPhone - iTunes sync! And sometimes Apple makes things so complicated. Just customizing a ringtone is such a pain.

| Iphone 5! wow it's superbly fast! After using it for a week, when you see other phones you'll be wondering why it looks so small. No problems with I5 ! working perfectly! #teamapple ! | |

Like what the other bro mentioned, GolfShot (regular) is free. I use GolfShot GPS almost exclusively. You can access your scorecards on the web and the stats are available for you on the app itself so you can see the info anytime w/o having to login to the web. The GPS maps all courses out in SG (even executive par 3 ones) and are pretty accurate in terms of layout. As for accuracy in terms of distance, I do see some discrepancies between what GolfShot reports and what the MBGC buggy is reporting. Of course, when you're playing Malaysia courses, unless you have data roaming, the maps are pretty much non-existent. Can't really comment much on Mobitee...although I got it for free, I'm not using it Hope this helps.
