Hitting someone on course

Some months ago, I hit a caddy at a top golf club in KL. She was with my friend who was in front but i shanked the shot. Before hitting, I had shouted "ball" and my friend had walked away but somehow the caddy didn't and walked back to the fairway!

She immediately fainted and now I know the meaning of dead weight! We had to carry her off to the club house but luckily, it was a 'minor' bump at the side.

The club manager asked me to pay Rm2,000 deposit to cover her medical expenses! I was so scared I gave them my credit card detail but later checked with insurer that that was unnecessary cos insurance will cover all.

Imagine- the club manager told me that caddies are NOT covered in the pathetic Rm3 insurance!

I have been back to the club before and each time the manager sees me coming, he walks the other way. Trying to con me!

So, always buy the club's insurance- it's usually about RM3 or S$1.20, even if you have your own club's insurance. It's easier to deal with local insurers than cross border insurers.
