Hi Randall, dont mean to be a wet blanket, but that period is not good for golf, esp if you are going to Scotland or northern England. High chance of snow.

but to answer ur question, i know that most courses will still be open and there will be discounted winter green fees. However, playing conditions will likely be poor...remember to buy winter golf gloves and maybe winter tees (cos the ground might be frozen and the normal tees can't poke through)

u'll have a better chance of having a nice game if u travel down south eg to Brighton

Thanks for the advice and inputs. Crossing my fingers that I will be able to get in 2 rounds of golf. May I check how far is Brighton to Edinburgh?

Brighton is south England, whereas Edinburgh is in Scotland. So it's quite far. Best to fly there. Taking rail will take quite long. The budget airlines like Ryanair and Easyjet actually very cheap. Only thing is that if u factor in the check-in golf bag, then it becomes more pricey.

The last time i was there, i went to Brighton first, stayed for 3 days, then flew to Edinburgh and did a road trip in Scotland, playing at a number of courses there
