Reviews: BFG CB003 Forged Irons

Agree with the mgs reviewer. the cb 003, when paired with the right shaft for u, is up there with top branded forged clubs in feel depts. I'd say the miss hits feel better than most, it just feel like a dull, slap with the club head. Not harsh. Maybe thats the aerotech...im not sure

One year and counting...i still havent changed irons. Personal best.

The club for Brand New Spy was built by BFG in Singapore. they have several sets including wedges. maybe we will hear more....haha

anyway, we are down to our last set. we had several orders from S Korea (they are still in the depths of winter) and Malaysia....but it looks like the guys will have to wait till Spring. it has been a great journey to past the 250 sets mark collectively and i believe we can only get better. also there will be no changes to the BFG CB003.

as for the wedges, we are low on the VX5.

i am from hanoi. hope u still remember. got my #107 bgf 003 last month. still try to get use to the long iron but i would say the short iron is fantastic....... many vietnamese say... very sexy... letting it to my japanese friends also.. comments are .. very very soft better feeling then what they have and they might want to get a set when they r in sg....

i will be back in march for good and hope can get my vx fitterd then.

Probably its time to give my review on the big fish irons. Got myself fitted with the fish sticks 1 mth back. The process was somewhat slow prior to having the fish sticks on my hands =), but it was worthwhile.

I started by changing the shafts on my existing clubs first and tried to get the distance and swing before deciding the change to the fish sticks. The process was slow but I slowly begin to understand certain fundamentals. The first few times at the range with the fish sticks i was thinking, why did i change? but after a session at the range one day, wah la, the ball flight was great and it gave me the confidence to carry on swinging. I will always look forward to go to the range and its like that push factor for me to play more.

Many thanks to the ppl here and Mr Eric for patiently answering my questions that I had along the way. Really hope to improve and meeting new people =)

How much is cb003 forged irons?

It's in the low 1000 buck range.... Depends on the shaft to be fitted as well

at this moment, its best not to review......the reason is there is no more BFG irons for a while. we have expected the stock to last till mid year but its all gone.

i stand corrected that we have custom fit about 250 sets regionally and at least 180 sets are in Singapore.

you can go BFG to test it out. If you are nice to them, they may even allow you to take one of the irons back to try.

there are loads of demo irons to try out.....at Bukit Merah and you can sign them out for a weekend or more if necessary.

it comes in all kinds of configurations - from 50g graphite to kbs to PXi.....

for those who still have the loaner, please return them so that others can try them out too. we should be calling those who have taken it for more than 3 weeks.

I went to Keppel range in the morning and found a CB0003J lying around. Took it and hit with it. Didnt want to return to my Nakashima. Haha.

Funny thing was that 2 or 3 months back, I t-loaned a 7 iron from BFG to try but couldnt feel any difference so I decided I was not ready to buy yet. BUT today I did feel the difference and I was overjoyed. It means that my swing has improved!

I will try the demo at Keppel a few more times. If the feeling is still good, it means that my swing is ready for a courtship and will be looking out for a marriage soon.

I still want to try a mizzie, Ping and PRGR before I decide on marriage. Who says you cannot court a few girls at a time before you go steady. Haha.

Since there is no stock now, I have time to decide.

the J are in stock......so you may have a shotgun situation.....haha
