Mizuno forged irons are highly recommended ... Mizuno is the more affordable of the JDM version (e.g. Miura, Epon, Honma, etc.) ... some may call it pseudo JDM as Mizuno Golf has been Americanized ...

| Used Mizuno forged irons are affordable and soft feeling. Can improve your golf if you are a 'feel' player. | |

| Many good brands in the market. I personally like and use Miura. Tried Mizuno and Yamaha before.... They feel great as well. Take your time to try them first, don't be too hasty in getting a set. | |

| Is the difference due purely to the material and how it is made? | |

| Apart from 'feel' (which is very subjective) forged clubs is easier to bend and adjust lie angle versus cast | |

| But however...due to its 'softness' and if you play regularly, one has to perform/check the lie angle for forged.
For cast, still need to check but...the interval will be longer.
I have played forged and cast before...and currently gaming S55...a cast iron...but surprisingly..feels like forged...

| I used to play with forged blades (MP32) some years back but changed to Cavity Back when I played less regularly. I wanted to keep the forged feel and so chose the TM CB forged and its been very nice! If anyone interested can see a short review of this at http://shallweplaygolf.com/blades-or-cavity-back | |
