| bigbanana is a 4 month golfer with a clear goal....break 100.
i am glad he has taken a shorter time than most people to do so. he needs to spend more time on the shortgame aspect to ensure he stays under 100 and hopefully he will reach his second milestone by year end.
the club is nothing compared to his determination and will. well done Victor!

| bigbanana: hey we are in same situation, i started 3.5mths only and breaking 100, but not consistent enough. We should play together sometime mate. In fact my goal is to break 90 by end of the year off blue's (and at Serapong too, long story......), are you similarly motivated/inclined?
Oh yeah I also use BFG stuff

| blong, if/when you broke 90 from the blue in Serapong in less then a year after picking up the sport....that deserves a thread on its own. do share your story. | |

| if you want something hard enough, you'll get it. The rest are details which can be sorted out one..... I work in a pretty competitive environment, and I have to kick my colleagues backsides by the end of the year, if not every week get sledged by them..... not very fun | |

| blong is so focussed on his task that he is signed up with playing with the infamous Slinger and his merry gang at the Kranji slaughter house on a weekly basis. Perhaps a trip to CNX to strengthen all aspect of his game.
Slinger is also tasked to make sure he does all he can to help Blong realised his goal. equipment wise he is all done and ready to go. only thing left is to play more often and discover best practices and develop right mental approach.
i think most of the golfers should try playing with the 11 year old monster who not only uses BFG irons but wedges as well. cos when this little guy comes back from Chiang Mai, he will be the next devil to watch out for....Slinger and Boboking will attest to that.

| @blong, the big swinging d***s eh? actually a good point you raise...we talk a lot about method of getting there e.g. practice method, swing style, coaching, long game, short game, equipment choice etc but all the theory and methods in the world wont help if we dun put in the necessary sweat and the hours kekeke | |

| It is time for the review of the fish sticks which I have owned for close to 1 month with 2 greens played at both Putri and RIA Bintan.
Previously I was using the S2 forged irons with Steelfiber i80 stiff. Was performing considerably well with them so was really difficult for me to make a choice to change to the fish sticks. After many trips down to the DEN for shafts changing and driver tuning, I decided to part with the money and support my fren (who else but the BOSS, Eric).
Here comes the story of the deadly combination of fish sticks with steelfiber i80s. The combination really works for me.
1st session with the fish sticks at the range, OMG my iron shot were terrible. Most probably i still cannot get use to the new weight and heads of the fish sticks.
2nd session at the range, hitting slightly better than the 1st session and getting use to the fish sticks. Nice sounding and great feel when hitting it clean. Quite forgivable and easy to use
The moment of truth: 1st game at Purti A Course. 1 on with the irons on the 4 PAR 3 holes. Kept my 3 hybrid in the bag all the way and keep to using my 5iron which got me within the green most of the time. Even my buddy was amazed with my iron shots
The moment of truth: 2nd game at RIA Bintan yesterday, still managed to get 1 on on all the PAR 3 holes. Really great feeling. Makes you feel like a pro when you can get 1 on.
As the irons are very very soft, after 2 games and the sole of the irons are all full of scratches. Heart pain sia...
Now I am only waiting for the arrival of the fish wedges tentatively in October. And I hope with the wedges I can play even better.
ps: this is not a sales gimmick and i am not under any influence from Big Fish for this posting.
thanks | |

| hahahahha.. @ralliart - i share the same story.. first range session i was seriously doubting my decision.. but after some tweaks.. and braving myself to scratch the irons and go on course.. it feels like heaven!!!!!!!! | |

| there is the demo 7 iron with an M80 shaft and a DG S300 shaft band....its funny how golfers use the shaft band to determine weight....only when they swing the club then they realise but in some cases, they swear its heavier than their NS Pro.
