Hi Bro...wild thought is fine but just like many things, we too must be aware of the consequences or perception that might be seeded by some community......Peace bro...

By the way, just curious which club maintain your HC?

Thank you for your well-meaning advice. I don't mean to step on anyone's toes. Very Happy

The club has now become part of an A hub. Very Happy I think you know which one. I not even sure got pakei now or not. Maybe got to go for another bloody walkaround 18 holes to 'renew' it. Very Happy

alot of ambiguity in your talk. when asked about something, you answer around the bush but not to the point.

anyway, sounds like u are quite an old bird in the game and you know alot of things that people do not know.

This thread really fast. Anyway I have had 3 coaches so far, 2 Aussie and 1 Singaporean. The 2 Aussie coach left Singapore already--hopefully its not me that piss them off--

The reasons for me to go for angmoh coach because I often have the impression that they are more willing to impart their knowledge compared to local coaches till I met my current local coach through recommendation from a friend.

Sometime it is about getting the right coach that will share the same wavelength with you. of course rapport between both the student and coach is the most important.

My experienced with coach is not very good. Paired with one of my friend to signed up 10 lessen 1hr each with a coach in Bishan AGA. He had all the big titles USGTF, AMGTF, EGTF Certified and a nice web site. At 3rd lesson, he persuaded us to signed up another 10 lessons with advance payment. After 8 lesson, he start to ask us to take our lesson in Batam with him every Monday. In addition paying green fee of hundred plus (20-30% higher than the normal green fee), we have to take leave from our worked. After two to three lessons, we stopped due to busy working. According to him, we can go back anytime to used up the remaining 9 hrs. Time flies, on and off I did call up to request for time slot, he either busy, sick or many strange reasons. A few months ago I call again and surprised to hear from him the hrs was expired.

Advise brother here signed up a short lesson first, once money out, you are on the losing ground.

nanohenry:

Which pro was this? This is serious matter. You should report it to CASE. I am a regular at Bishan and I think this guy should never be allowed to coach again!

I would not call USGTF a big title. Did u know to become a fully certified USGTF instructor, the playing requirement is 2 x 18 hole rounds of 83 or less. Basically they are 10 handicap golfer. I would not put my swing in the hands of someone who can not shoot below par, let alone 80. Half my kakis can shoot better than this standards.

I pity that too cos u r not the only one who got it at BISHAN... seems like too many "bluff eat" coach stations at Bishan... Anyway, i now range more at OCC... Smile

Bishan not sound to goood. How about Star Academy at Marina Bay. Anyone have any experience from there to share. Mine was terrible! I think like many other who start, they go here because of convenient location. I learnt very little except alot of bad habit.
