Juz back from the very first course experience with my LE baby and really nothing much to say... I'm LOVING it...
Scoring 108 with no 'add 10 strokes' thingy happened... my green approach shot are much consistent from what they used to be...
but the sad thing is, 7 penalty shots incurred due to problematic driver, 3w & hybrid... the shaft are too light for my new found rhythm... the shots are everywhere, i have to slow down to stabilize the club...
big holes in pocket soon for another round of fitting... Bro, That is EXCELLENT news. So much for the beginner/high handicapper should not hit blades pile-of-crock theory. He he he. Sooooo..... if you remove the penalty shots caused by the driver, 3w & hybrid, you remove how many strokes? 7. Not quite 10, but 7 is still a BIG DEAL. Normally, how many penalty strokes do you incur from those clubs in a typical round? Subtract the difference and you're closer to determining the impact of the blades. Or, to measure another way, how many greens did you hit from the fairway? And did you hit them closer to the flag (thereby improving your putts) compared to before? Actually, I read your post again, and the answer is already there: "my green approach shot are much consistent from what they used to be..." What's the main point here? That YOU played with the LE small blades, - with CONFIDENCE - with TRUST in your swing, tempo, and rhythm - with a FOCUS on the TARGET After a while, I bet you FORGOT you were hitting with blades, esp w small blades, am I right? (because there's nothing visually to compare it with, so the mind just accepts it.) The club just became A PART OF YOU, an EXTENSION OF YOUR WILL. In other words, PERFECTION. I look forward to hearing even more progress from you down the road. Once again, well done.

big holes in pocket soon for another round of fitting... STOP THE PRESSES! How did I miss this? EXACTLY BRO! The blades have taught you HOW TO SWING PROPERLY. And guess what? All your other clubs, hybrids, wood, driver etc, are now TOO SOFT. That's IDENTICAL to what happened to me. I could not find the fairway to save my life. After re-fitting again, I got 4 new Graphite Design Tour AD DI shafts. And my driver went from Stiff to Xtra stiff. So, remarkable isn't it? The new swing is slower in tempo. Yet more powerful through impact. Bro, whatever you do, don't slow down the swing to accomodate the hybrids and woods - it will spoil the improvements from the blades. Instead, re-fit your shafts. Well done. Well done indeed!

| the first comment I received from my flight mate is that. "golf is to easy for you and you decided to make it harder by using smaller club". Yeah that set a stone sinking in my guts. Now, I don't really realize that I'm hitting a baby blade. They all not that small anymore, not intimidating anymore. Just another piece of club to hit the ball with Anyway, I changed all my long club (5 wood regular with 4 wood stiff. R9 stiff with G20 stiff). So far so good. Drive is far, wood is far and the iron is still ok. The killing part is my shot game accuracy and consistency, so I'm gonna focus on that with the Cleveland Wedges for now. | |

my 2 cents... Bro, Apart from improving your swing, I see the 1957 Special Anniversary Limited Edition small blades have turned you into a poet as well! Salute! P/S - NOW do you guys all understand why I sound like a crazy Miura salesman high on drugs waxing lyrical endlessly about these clubs.... see? It's not only me.

I've actually gotten a quote for K grind and will go off to give it a shot this week and see if that improve things. I train with wedges heavily (50% of the ball I hit in the range are on wedges). I changed from TM Rac to cleveland and sort of not there yet. We'll see what gives on the trial and I might just replace all with new wedges.

Miura small-blade-envy. He he he. After a while, try this little experiment. Get another regular iron and take up your address position. I guarantee you will have an 'interesting' reaction to it. Funny how the mind works. We don't know what we are capable of, until we try it, either voluntarily, or forced by circumstance. Go past old boundaries and you will find perfection.

Bro, once you get the right technique for those Miura wedges, they will launch high and spin and check like crazy. And of course, there's the FEEL as well, which will immediately improve your sense of distance around the green.

I don't think it's the first. This is coming off from a Miura blade tournament user who is hitting 3 iron for 220 meter. Maybe it's the later jlow, probably tonight (thursday night) after works around 5:30 ish, if not friday same time.
