this guy i am talking about is pathetic. not only he hits his drive as long as a girl. at age 48 he is broke and lives with his mother. when he was invited to play in the US Open 2008 as an amateur, he did not even have the money to buy a ticket to the US.

at least you can eat snake, talk to insurance agent about increasing coverage....

In my personal opinion, I do not know about cocking or no cocking but you hit every shot from iron to driver straight & accurate and it is not any short distance too ... To enable to win $ from you, need those players that have a different level and I know those players are not many.

oh sure Chris..i just don't want to bore fellow forummers...

So at age 48, broke, no more chance to represent his country and no dignity. senior tour is 2 years away, what can he do?

so he made up his mind to play in the EuroPro Tour. its like a stepping stone for most professional golfers and past players include Anton Haig, Ross Fisher, Louis Oosthuizen and Graeme Storm. struggled for 2 years made very little money and looking desperately for the next big thing.

when he turned 50, he promptly signed up for the European Senior Tour Q-school and guess what???....... he failed to get past stage one. he made all of 14000 pounds in the whole of 2009 and its really not enough in UK.

he is one of UK top amateur in his time and have the distinction of defeating a top form Tiger Woods in the Walker Cup in 1995. but as they say in golf. you are only as good as your last 18. 10 years later at the age of 45 he defeated Anthony Kim in the Walker Cup. (of course he was miles behind AK off the tee)

the saddest part was what happened to him in the US Open 2008. he was promised that all he need was to get his A__ over and everything will be taken care of. It never happened. he could not even get a practice round until the eve of the championship and he got on by eating sandwiches from the player's lounge.
