not really lah....
zx has yet to impart his "he siang gu" swing to his fellow forummers....
no wonder i am always 20-30m behind him.... Too humble la Slinger. You may be 20-30m behind, but 20-30 strokes ahead. There aren't many here in GR with your MF skills... not just mind f***, but mental fortitude as well.

| Bro sham, check with you on theirons shafts. You are using kbs c-taper, how does it compare to kbs tour and, proj x and dgs300 shafts? | |

| errrm sorry bro GF to OT on your thread...
the DG S300 is in a completely different spec band... if you wanna compare, my specs would be DG X100... which in that case i find the ball flight to be too high and the spin rate also too high... i don't have an issue launching my 3 iron so i try to avoid any high spin rate / launch angle shafts...
this above runs through for the project X 6.5 which i was using....
the C-taper and KBS tour are the best shafts i've used thus far, i would take the C-tapers over the tour... the C-tapers basically play like the tour in terms of spin rate and ball flight but the overall feel is a great deal smoother... i find the shaft to "softer" in feel despite the same CPMs as the tour... but if you have issues with low ball flight, which from my recollection you don't, then you should stick to the tour... but if memory serves me right, you might actually benefit from using the c-tapers due to your high ball flight...

| 110....i wish i could tell you that this was my new swing speed, but that is my diastolic number....my systolic number is 190........that's right: 190/110.....that was the number that hit me on mon night together with severe shoulder and back pain.....this combined with a dodgy ECG sent me to Mt E at midnite on mon...(after receiving the bill, i then realised why there was no waiting time and as always the TLC i received came with a hefty price...no more clubs for a while, i guess)........
at 2am, after getting the all clear from the doctor (as in, "you didn't have a stroke, but it's only a matter of time if you don't change your lifestyle"), i then asked, "Doc, I have an 830am tee off time....do you think i can still play?".........after the look i got from the doctor, i messaged my friends and for the first time in my life, told them that i'd be a no show.......of course, I woke up at 800am, changed my mind and joined them at the 6th tee.......<hey, i'm an old man doc... i can't change overnight>
anyway, long story short, i no longer want to increase my swing speed by 20%, my new goal is to reduce my blood pressure by 40%.......in other words, i still hope to be tickled by the devil's balls one day, but it will have to drop further down my to-do list for now........i believe this new goal will be harder to achieve.........

| 190/110!!!!! My goodness, my esteemed BB! What is yr diet like? All the good stuff!? You need to join me for my healthy lifestyle of 10pm runs, with beer. Must be Asahi by the way. Do join me at SSN. I show you the easy way to squeeze 10-20 more without raising yr blood pressure. Rex has a point too. Salt is a killer. Looks like I won't be calling you for crab anytime soon. P.S our Sept game still on yea? We go walking. No buggy. | |

which is why i decided to take up tennis to stay healthy.... but i din know my friends were generous enough to buy a racquet for me yesterday so that i will not procastinate any further.....
i guess i still can call u for the odd games when u are free.... still 50/50/100 level hor, unless u think your condition warrants some strokes on my side
but judging from the tone of your post, i doubt u will ask....
Be a man..... Do the right thing
may u accomplish what u set out to do.....

| ha..didn't mean to over-dramatise things....i just meant that i won't be spending any time at the driving range and will spend more time running, swimming or playing squash / tennis at my apt instead......weekly golf games are still a must.......... i don't need sympathy, but will welcome any pity strokes that anyone wants to give me.... | |

| GF, first thing is to reduce your weight. that'll reduce your BP as there is less choking arteries to raise your BP.
anyway you need to know your BP history.. if you have an elevated BP all your life.. then its not a sudden change.. but its the diastolic number you should pay attention to
PS: don't look at my avatar

Wow.... BF, get well, get fit, and the swing speed and distance will take care of themselves. Just by trimming the list above, I think your bp will come plummeting down like a pitch shot. This latest episode may be just the wake up call that your gastronomical lifestyle needed, if so, it's a blessing in disguise. Just think of dieting the same way as you set your goals in golf, one milestone at a time. Best of luck.
