| Me too. Hope to break 100. Been playing for past 6 mths best score 103 and avg 110. Most of the time is the putt and driver that killed. Been working on my swing regularly as due to inconsistent swing which cuase the ball to slice. | |

| on avg, i still avg about 2 penalty stroke per 18 hole... i know its criminal, but somehow, it will happen, even though i always tell myself to play conservative, and accuracy over distance first. i will either OB 1 hole or have 1 or 2 ball in water hazard....
cutting down the OB will give u a decent chance to bogey or dbl bogey a hole. If you OB your drive, u literally have to "par" to save dbl bogey.
my scores started to come down when i worked harder at my short game... 100m and below... and my 1st putt.

| i suppose breaking 100 from the white? if u spend enuff time n effort on yr irons, i believe it shld not be a prob... assuming u can only drive 170-180m but fairly straight... a good iron play can get u 3 on easily on par 4, 1 on or juz at the fringe for par 3 and 4 on for par 5... have a not bad short game to help you juz in case (those bump n run shld be good for now, definitely not those flop shot unless no choice) practice more on putting n lag putt.... 100 shld be very realistic.... ***but shit's do happen...i oso always shoot 100++ once every 3 rds.... | |

| i range 3-4 times a week and play at least once a week(sometimes 2 and some occasional weeks 3-4)...took me almost half a year.
After that, stopped golfing so often and is never consistent...now playing worse and worse...think i got a "LOFT" problem

| I think it me abouit 6-7 monthss before I broke 100. Actualy first time was pretty lucky merely by chance. Now going below 100 is fairly consistent a bad day now is 100-105. Having said that recently I was in Blue Canyon in phuket and posted 117 hahahah things were just not on!!! came back the next day to execute some vengenance and ended up 96 i think, Shaved 20 strokes, avoided the driver and stuck to the 5 wood. Immaculate short game saved me!!!! | |

| if you can manage your expectations it will be easier to do well on the course.
Eg, if 1st tee shot ob, getting a double or triple bogey for that hole may be a realistic result, thats if you usually par or bogey a hole, any better is a good score.
this way at least you dun have to feel pressurise to get the best score for that hole. It will help mentally, at least for me

i'd been playing golf around 4 - 5 yrs, but never seriously till about 6 - 8 mths before then, when i started taking serious lessons and buy a decent set of clubs + driver fitting from bfg...
but after that, i din break 100 again for another 4 mths... haha
i'm not exactly a full time golf junkie...my golf regime is range once a week which include short game + putting practice, and 1x18 hole on weekend if possible. and now lennylim is threatening to break 90s or have you already broken it and gone into the high 80s?
