After that, i keep playing safe all the way. The scary part is they pay the bets at every tee box.

If there is.... Shall create a new thread to clarify it. This betting system is driving me nut and confused.... (sometimes) Looks like Las Vegas has been explained pretty well by the sifus here. DOMMY - Dommy refers to a situation where the number of holes remaining is equal to the number of holes won (or lost). If you refer to page 1 where I explain about INSURE, it is actually the same. INSURE is the name of the bet (i.e playing an Insurance bet) whereas DOMMY is the term of the situation. For example, if you watch the volvo match play championship on now, you may have come across the commentator mentioning dommy. Play X is now dommy 3 on player Y. (Meaning X is 3 up with 3 to go). But both the players are not betting are they? Its just a term to describe the situation. In our betting case, the INSURE bet starts when we have a DOMMY situation.

more on Golf Tournament Formats, Side Games and Golf Bets if you have time to read all.. Here's something that you won't find in ANY golf betting format website..... because it hasn't been played yet!!! Remember the Baccarat system that I described in page 1? I am sure many of the bros here are familiar with the format. (In summary, it is simply a format whereby the player teeing off has the option to double the bet, and can only do so after the ball has been hit BUT before the ball has touched the ground) Now.... let's take the same format and add a little twist to it. I call it "The Joker"... How to play...The baccarat rules apply the same. However, every player gets one "Joker". A "Joker" can only be used once (only for 1 hole of the players choice). A "Joker" carries a value of multiplying all final outcome (of that hole) by 5 times (i.e. x5). To use a "Joker", the "joker" must be declared BEFORE the player hits the tee shot. In a game of normal baccarat, if 1 player UPs, it effectively doubles the bet against the other players. If 2 players UP on the same hole, the bet between the 2 players becomes double double (x4). Simple. Now lets imagine a game of "The Joker". Its a 200 yard Par 3, over water, downhill shot. A tees off, and duffs the ball into the water! B is eager to tee off now that A is in water but he send his shot way to the right, pushing it into some trees guarding the green. C smiles, and can already smell the money. He hits his shot, its a clean contact, clearing the water but drawing slightly. C looks at the ball flight and decides to take the chance and he UPs! But the ball comes up a little short and catches the right side bunker. Now because C has UP, his bet with A, B & D is 2 points each. What is D going to do? A is definitely in trouble, B is not much better either, and C has a tough up and down from the bunker. Is this the time to use the "Joker"? But.... if he does, he has to declare "Joker" BEFORE he tees off. If D hits a good shot that reaches the green, he potentially is looking at x5 of everything (and D can still UP which means potentially playing 4 points with C and then x5). BUT... and a big BUT.... what if D also duffs his shot and sends his ball into the water? The "Joker" still stands. He can also potentially lose x5 of everything!!! The trick is that the "Joker" must be delcared BEFORE the shot is taken. This places a lot of emphasis on how confident the player is. And also how much pressure can a player handle. Definitely not for the weak hearted! I don't mind if anybody takes this idea and gives it a go. Only request is a report of the final outcome, did all 4 players use the "Joker", was the outcome of the "Joker" as expected, etc.
