| Just out of curiosity, how many balls do you hit on average per visit to the range? I average 150 balls per visit. | |

As Toa Payoh Range oni sell by 100s.. I play either 200s or 300s. Recently I played 300s.. cos I missed the range, the balls & my clubs so much!

| i think i must have played like 250 irons shots yesterday, chipped 100 at least and got probably another 100 drivers...
the balls keep coming...and we stayed there for hours...
Think having friends around would help you hit more balls

My fingers & arms confirm break ah.. I've said before... going to the range is useful but while practice makes perfect, practice also makes permanent. Simply, if you are doing something wrong repeatedly, it will soon become a bad habit which you'll have difficulty breaking.

| if tinkering with the swing, better to hit more balls...but good to have camera / mirrors / training aids to review your swing in between and immediately tweek it a bit, then ingrain some feeling after hitting lots of balls.
if need to continue after a few days (or 1 week later) usually go back to the same old swing.
But i have to say, hitting lots of balls AT THE RANGE may not be as useful. The ground is alway perfectly flat, hard surface and easy to align.
This weekend I may want to go down to turf city to try.

I agree. Excessive training, without objective will eventually create bad habits to ur swing. I always see JL train. She don't hit a lot but she knows what she wants to achieve.
