| After having a shitty day at work and you need to vent your frustrations, the driving range is a good place to do it. just imagine the ball is !@#$ and SWING AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| on the course, max driver 36 times (use driver even for par 3, all twice cause slice OB and to malu to tee up 3rd time as the flight behind all staring at u)
36 times driver where got enough....at range can hit 100 times until realise cannot reach 250m ....only to restart again a few days after after some tweeking/reading some tips off the range, with full of confidence that this time I can hit 250m.
the driver that is the most fascinating part of the game and for many ppl its the portion that is keeping them in the game (we got long drive champions, no putting champions)
without the driver, going to the range is boring. i rather go Executive practice chipping, putting and have a game to sharpen my irons.

| Winston: Also since I am investing money in lessons, might as well make sure I not only learn something but become proficient at it. If not, it feels like throwing away hard earned money.
I make it a point to go at least 3 times a week. Lesson / Practice / lesson. Have been following this schedule for a month and can most certainly see the results.
Wise comment--you will surely improve.
I go to driving ranges to relieve stress and get some exercise by whacking balls--stress from kids, work, driving on roads, no money for beer, etc.

Yesterday started first lesson on fairway woods and driver. swing mechanics are almost identical to short / mid irons but address etc etc all different. Coach says Driver = Ball in line with the inside of the left foot. 3W = one ball distance from the inside of the left foot. 5W = 2 ball distance from the inside of the left foot. Arms position same. But right shoulder should drop more. Width of stance should be "feet outside the shoulder width" . He also mentioned that at 3 O'clock position, my top of my right hand should face up. What this means is that club head should be closed with the club face almost parallel to the ground at this stage .I think he teaching me to draw the shot. BTW, i use a neutral grip. Used to use strong grip but couldn't twist / turn / roll the forearms in time thereby always causing a slice. This is because my lower body moves faster than my upper body. Hence now I am still trying to "perfect" my timing. I do hope I don't confuse anyone with what I have just written. What my coach does for me, works for me. Some might disagree some might agree. I have had friends tell me what to do during my practice and when I go back for lessons, my swing is completely @!$(*&#
