Course management for a Seasoned Beginner

Bro DS, don't waste time developing such skill lah... Use bushnell or get some iPhone golf apps that has GPS (might be more accurate)

Any bushnell model which is cheap and good for recommendation?

I realize not many are selling their range finder on marketplace... must be a good tool that they don't want to let go

u can look ard... but the promos are all on the TourV2. which apparently is damn value for money. i kinda regret but then again, i got my bush.. i mean bushnell WAY before the TourV2 had all the promos in singapore...

Actually i saw one V2 2nd hand at creative going for 300+...

But DS , this not a big problem lah.. either you cheong with your logest club or lay up with your shortest club.. or you chio me play with you, i use my bino and tell you the distance.

The biggest problem is when you tee off to the next fairway and waula..your ball disappear and you know your ball landed near some buggies..penalty for lost ball..

Bro, if you had used a cheap used ball, it would have stayed where it landed

That's what i thot so too...haiz..I use a new ProV1x ball, saw it fly there and shouted "Ball",
along teh way there , sianz liao, my instinct tell me ball sure lost...

Yes it's was good using your range finder that made us all walk back to the buggy and change our clubs even when we brought three clubs to the tee box. So good in fact I also looking for one.

I used to take out the big dog every hole and half of my tee shots end up in trouble ... now I take my medicine, use hybrid tee off 180m to find fairway, second shot cannot reach nevermind ... hopefully 1 chip 2 putt still can get bogey

Erm you sure or not? cannot 2 on with your hybrid? Heard you par 5 also 2 on one...

The traditional method would be "Aga-ration"

When i'm allowed to take my time to play, ie. no flight behind pushing. I look for ground markers( usually on water sprinklers) and pace back to the ball. Not sure how big a step to take? next time when u have a chance, at home or watever, find a measuring tape or meter rule. put it on the floor. take a big step/lunge forward and try to rem roughly how big ur 1m step is.

Again. Doing this on the course will only give u a rough gauge. + - a few meters.
