Sitting here ... Thinking about what went wrong...
Why I can't seem to hit any ball nicely?
And it's like I'm worse than when I first started.

I am so disheartened. Totally defeated by me, myself and I.

Sob.. Sob... Sob.... Sad

if it is any consolation, I have been play for almost 6 months, at least one range session a week.

I still can't hit ball cleanly. Golf is not a easy game loh..

If not, I can try to impart my golf philosophy to you.

Actually there is nothing wrong playing a bad round of golf.
Having a Bad day at work is worst off - sucks.

Hitting left and right except the center make one a exciting player too.
The "SometimesCanSometimesCannot" player.

Playing bad golf? Aiyo... Dun worry about it.. Just focus on your problems.. Get advice and work on those problems.. When you see yourself improve.. That is when you will get to enjoy golf more and more..

And not forgetting that it is the company that makes the game fun too.. Smile

Ups and downs is part of golf. Some days, you feel as if most if not all aspects of your game is coming together, whereas other days, you need to grind through 18 holes. Even pros have off days, and sometimes these days can last for months! No worries, just enjoy the game and the company. And don't forget to get a good coach to help you along the way - it helps reduce some of the frustration Smile

18 holes ... maybe in my dreams Laughing

Yah, agree on that. A good coach should be able to reduce some of the frustration.

When all else fails, and that is VERY often for me, my last straw will be to enjoy the good shots ( a few here and there), the company, and hopefully, the weather. Golf becomes the distraction.

Take your mind off and sometime, you may play better. Smile

one of the things that i have learned about the golf swing is that most golfers swing very well when they are doing a practice swing. once they step up to the ball, its a different matter. if golfers can swing the club at the ball and take their mind off the ball and concentrate on making the swing, it will not only feel different, you will be amazed at how far you can hit your clubs.

How do you swing well? well there are lots of drills and exercises that you can do.

Regulars at the Den will know what we mean by Instinctive Golf. It has helped me tremendously and it will help you too.

I can vouch for that... I swing better after DGMan's help to free all the swing techies inside the head.
Now I try to follow the motto:
"Just swing it"

Go and read "golf is not a game of perfect" by Bob Rotella and that should open up your thoughts about golf.
