| When I go on my virign golf course, I do the following:
1. Bring N + 2 more balls 2. Go onto the web to see if there is course layout...especially the 1st and 10th tee because the start is pretty important to me.....to gain momentum 3. Of coz, ask around if there is halfway house...and if no, then bring bigger water bottle.
LASTLY, since it is my 1st visit to the course, must bring a BIG smile and BIG Thank-you to host.....and ready to buy a jug...just in case there is drinking later
AND that will be my prep for my virgin trip to a new course

errr...ok. say you bring 10 balls to a typical game....that 10 = N. So for virgin game at new golf course, I bring 10 + 2 = N + 2. thus, N could vary fm one to another.

| Duval, its a virgin game..TS dunno how many balls to bring mah... first time leh.. haha.. I tot it should be more like (N x holes) balls where N is the number of balls you intend to lose per hole.. my Virgin game, i brought 36 balls.. heng only lost about 10 balls... | |

| very important.. bring nail clipper.. always got some bits of side growth on nail that will irritate you the moment you play and you notice it.
bring some tape in case you get blister.. or prevent blister.. and some muscle cramp spray in case you just happen to get cramps.

| I feel like I'm 18 again going to army. one more thing to buy. Divot tool. Actually my coach should be bringing that since he did not tell us to prepare. But just go buy one. In any case the tool got 5 bucks to 25 bucks. Got difference one or not. I'll be bringing 24 balls for both myself and mrs. Hope dun need to use so many. Lol. | |

Very cool design and easy to use no doubt but..... The Scotty divot tool is outdated in its design actually. It's based on the old way to repair divots, which has been discovered to be detrimental to quick recovery of the pitchmark. Based on its design, the Scotty divot tool works on a pivot, ripping up the grass by its roots, killing the turf. Think he got no time to design a new one. The old way was to just push up the centre, which the Scotty divot tool does easily. The new way now is to pull the grass from the outsides in to the centre starting from the side with the biggest lump of grass which usually is the side pointing in the direction the ball rolled. Then tamping it flat with your putter. FYI

| Aural, divot tool got free one, no need to buy. Just ask from the clubs in singapore. Laguna used to have slim metal ones, dunno about now. Other clubs also provide plastic ones at no charge. They are more than happy to let you have it since you are actually doing them a service by repairing the pitchmark, saving them manpower costs and helping the greens to repair faster. The more immediate the repair, the faster the green recovers. If you really can't find, I pass you one, FOC. | |

| Better still, ask your coach for one, he probably has more than one lying around. It's a good promo idea also for your coach. Have his contact printed on the white plastic ones. | |
