Have Fun !!! Course Marshall is just a fancy name for forum moderator, i will step in to moderate when there's a need to, otherwise i believe its perfectly fine for me to be me as long as i do not need to moderated for the comments i made, if i what i say offends people, please pm me and talk to me directly about it or bring it up in that thread. I am man enough to admit my mistakes if i make them, no one's perfect, that includes Moderators. But i dare say, i am no keyboard warrior or forum troll, i speak my mind but sometimes i may be careless with my words, when i do that and if i am in the wrong, i believe i should own up and apologise for it, because i was taught that being humble and a little humility goes a long way. on a lighter note, please tolerate my crap. GR is GR, cant and dont compare it to other forums whether local or overseas, the dynamics and community is totally different.

GR is GR, cant and dont compare it to other forums whether local or overseas, the dynamics and community is totally different. Woah! "course marshal is just a fancy name for moderator" So, what u are saying is if you are not moderating you are just a normal forumer? Hmmm.. means if you post some objectionable issues you will either moderate it yourself or your fellow moderator will do it.....very intriguing indeed. Just an example, if a policeman is off duty and take off his uniform, he can do what he like?? see the point I am making?? If you are going to moderate the forum, you have to post and act like one, and set an example for all to follow, my dear moderator, if not, how are we "normal forumer" going know what is Crap or what is permissible on the forum if we follow your "Standard" and your "crap talking". I guess all we want is to bow and respect the moderators in this forum, but respect have to be earn. Unfortunately you do not have the entitlement nor previledge to wear two hats and behave in two different manners !( i could be wrong here) Guess you have to wear 2 hats but act as a polished diamond, nice to know, you will be a man to admit to your mistake! Please.. I am not picking a fight here, but just want you as a moderator to be respected and we want to enjoy these forum.... Lastly, i hope the owner here do not need another moderator to moderate a moderator! Cheers!!

| Life's short. Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none. Oh, and have a great golf game. Don't be too bothered by others.
Let's take a chill pill and move on.
Cheers. | |

| Morning People, sorry if my query have raise any arguments or displeasure. I am just one of the beginners who hope to learn something from forum. Like many other forums, we tend to learn a few things here and there from people who really know their stuff. I only ponder about certain postings i see on this forum and make me wonder, are they really serious what they are saying or are they just joking? Very hard to interpret base on words... maybe its because of my weak command of english. | |

| Really didn't get the gist of this topic. But with regards to the original question "How to reply a fellow GRian that won't sound arrogant and mislead others." maybe you could just say a simple "thank you for your reply but i don't think that works for me" I personally feel that the technique of playing "golf" varies from individual. When someone posts his/her opinion it may not be the "popular opinion" on how to play, but perhaps it works for that person and he/she just wants to share it with you. Be thankful. I mean who knows, maybe buying a Nakashima driver will instantly give you 50 m more to your drives or perhaps steroid abuse.. who knows? Everyones differentl | |

| Bro Duffader,
Forums being forums, I guess you will get all sorts of ppl. I don't really have a problem with arrogance, just the misleading bit that worries me. I can't imagine a "20" hdcpper teaching me how to draw or fade a shot, when what I saw are bordering near hooks and slices.
I suppose most adults would be able to discern between the good, the bad and the fugly ones. But I do enjoy reading some of the more "incredible" posts because it gave me and my pals some interesting topics over drinks. Cheers.

| Some of my thoughts on the question. During written communication, it is common to sound more negatively.
In my opinion, 1. Don't use all capital letter... it will sound angry... 2. Use the word: I think, in my opinion, what works for me, my 5 cents worth... 3. Get to know the real person will tone down a lot of negative impression... 4. Don't praise yourself but let others do it for you
Some don't mean to be arrogant but due to lack of written skills will sound like one. However, if one is really arrogant.. then what to do..
