Respect and Humility, goes together in the game of golf.

All golf games end with a shake of the hand, which displays good sportsmanship regardless of outcome/ score.

Showing courtesy to others and respecting others is also part of the game.

There is no need for sarcastic or snide remarks, whether at a particular person or generalizing the entire forum.

No one comes to the forum to be abused, any unhappiness please use PM.
Which at a minimum gives the person "face" and avoid an open battle of pride.

The best golf player to me has to be TW........Tom Watson and not Tiger Woods, simply because Tom Watson plays the game like a gentleman. He does not swears, does not throw clubs, does not has his caddy scolding the crowd.

The above is just my humble opinion.

Anyway, like I said, my England not powderful enough so maybe some people got me wrong. The main contention of my rantings were aimed at those beginners who has just started playing golf for just a couple of months or even lesser and just because their coach adviced them what to do about their swing, they start giving tips like a season golfer. I am all ears to listening to 'seasoned beginners' advices but hearing these newbies talking like they are part time pros are the reason for my rantings. Hope I am clear enough this time for those other better players. In fact I learned my golf from 'seasoned beginners' or better players and to date I am happy where I am with regards to my standard, even though to now Istill always changkuled my irons so much kekekek, but I can returned decent scores, of course according to my own standard lol! Peace

Totally agree with you "Tituman"....... very clear and loud! .... maybe if the guilty party happen to read this thread, maybe they will think twice and possibly stop "shooting from their hips"

"massage or instructions that are passed up or down stream to another and to another the original meaning of it will be very likely be distorted" ie. teaching Pro to student - student to kahkis-kahkis to the forum.

Have fun !!!

Actually, sometimes, even old jokers like me benefit from a fresh point of view from time to time. Anyway, if you disagree with any statements that you read on the forum, you can do what I do:

a. ignore and move on to another topic, OR
b. join in the conversation and chip with your 2 cents as a 'seasoned beginner'

Smile

a) I can do that.
b) I normally will refrain as in the first place can't express well enough to know what I am talking myself ha ha so I rather not confused the poor bugger. What works for me may not work for others as mine was self taught. You can see me in action on the 5th ha ha. Very Happy

To make things easy, this forum already have a 'Tips and Tricks' section for real advise, and the other sections are for exchange of ideas or just talking about golf.

Just as in WRX, almost everybody when they post, list their 'credentials'. When a scratch player talks about course management Vs a high handicapper talking about bombing away at the tee, one is emphasizing getting lower score, the other emphasizing about having fun in golf. both valid points. Almost no intelligent person will take the word of a high handicapper over a Pro/scratch players for golfing skills advise but that should not mean that high handicappers should be banned from posting their views.

Many ppl at this point of their golf 'career' simply cannot play well (or simply dont have time for practice) and only have their long game for enjoyment, him giving advise to other similar kind golfers is valid. Golf after all is for enjoyment NOT a living.

Similarly when a scratch/low handicapper player talks about club fitting or high swing speed golfers talking about mid/high kick, low torque, tipping their driver shaft 1 inch etc, that discussion is not for beginners.

When a low handicapper/scratch player talks about SC being god...sometimes i wonder

Even for equipment, as a beginner i will not take the advise from a better player, whom are currently playing blades or MB, on SGI clubs (all of them will say how a thick topline is no good and those half cavity clubs are 'not that difficult' to hit)...especially if they have never hit a SGI club before (or probably just took a few swing with them)
