YC has his own way of teaching his students. He believes in basic fundamental. Golf is not a game where after a few lessons you are able to launch your driver and drive your ball to 180m. I was asked to do the half swing and 3 quarter swings using 7 iron for most of my lessons with him, but I benefitted from these routine swings. From a scratch golfer 2 years ago, I'm now consistently hitting around 93 and is aiming to break 90.

He brought me to M'sia golf courses a couple of times and I learnt the course management, bunkers shots, correct way of holding putter and chipping from him. All these are taught on the course. He only charged me a small fees for his coaching time (almost like a whole day event)and also bringing me to these courses. Without his guidance and course experience, I would probably still scratching my head and swing my club at the same time.

Cheers

Guys,  this is very individual,  YC is my 2nd coach and I find him fantastic.  I went through 5 refreshing follow by a package lesson which I have requested for. To be fair to YC,  I must say he is not calculative at all, you can always go to him anytime if He is at bishan at No extra cost.

All I can say is it take 2 hands to clap,  by the way,  everyone must reflect ourselves whether do we have. A teachable heart.

My point of view,  No harm trying,Bhopal for a trial lesson and decide later.

Comments here is only good for reference.  Happy golfing to all!

YC Law was my first coach. After a first package of 10 lessons, I stopped as I found that I was not learning much from him. He is quite passive, and will stand behind me to provide some comments now and then, or in front of me to help push 1 more ball for me to hit.

After I found my 2nd coach who uses video to record my swing, I realized that the naked eye just cannot catch mistakes in the swing, only mistakes in setup or grip. Furthermore, I am a visual person and prefer to see what I am doing wrong in the swing, and get drills to correct it.

YC Law is a nice person, friendly and not calculative. He can help to introduce the game of golf to a newbie but my opinion is he will not be able to bring golfers to the next level with his teaching techniques.
