I think kranji is possible on sun afternoon. Rates could be as low as 70+ depends on their committee. Anyone here knows the ppl there where we can Cham siong.

keppel hahaha not possible. Even members have to q for slots on thurs for wkend game. Can try raffles but cost could be $130 onwards.

i'm there every monthly too, but not a single picture is chosen to place in the mag. ( someone just don't like me, i will remember that )

Me too, I am in all the monthly games since day one. If my pictures are not picked sigh... I hate to resort to MC and Walau methods. Have to come up with another plan. Ha ha ha...

I am one of those who "can" only play on Saturday mornings bcos I think I have to be fair to my family. That's why i can't jon GR weekly/monthly games which is usually held on Sunday afternoon.

I will be v happy if GR have monthly games/event on Saturday mornings and I will definitely make it.

I also hv to take leave for weekdays games so can only play weekdays once a while.

For Singapore clubs, I think only Marina Bay shd be able to accomodate us although they need golfers w handicap or they hv to take PC Test.

Other alternatives will be Poresia, Palm Resort, Tg Puteri, Palm Villa but we will hv to get up at 4+ to get there for 7-8am tee-off.

The timing is not right. Have to appear at the right time and place.

I too can't play Sunday afternoon as have to send kids for tuition from morning to late afternoon (4.30pm). Saturday morning game is ok for me as can have the rest of the Sat afternoon still to carry out my fatherly and husbandly duties.....

FYI, this is what MBGC charges for private event during weekends.

on top of that, advance booking for each golfer is abt $20 each..
so it will be $150 + $20 + GST + 5% service charge + admin fee = ????

Gosh..that is crazy expensive..
Looks like i must recommend for price increase..

Manpower for registration also charge..scoring fees is ridiculous..woot!!

weekend.. think we are left with mbgc as the cheapest option.. which is approx S$130 as compared to msia course that cost S$68 (e.g. starhill course + dinner included). oh.. for those without hcp (add $10 for swing test @ mbgc).

by paying double the price or more, we enjoy the convenience of playing in singapore and can go off str8 away after the game. no hassle of car pool.

ohhh.. so many decisions to be made in life..

of course JB will be cheaper. you will hv to wake up early to get there. i woke up at 4.30am every saturday to tee off at Poresia before 7.12am.

looks like we hv golfers who r available on different days n time of weekends n some who may not wanna pay too much.

I proposed alternate GR monthly event btw weekdays, saturdays, sundays, mornings, afternoons, Marina Bay or any S'pore courses n Johore so everyone will hv a chance to participate.

We can also conduct a poll and see what option(s) is/are least popular/prefer so we can drop those unpopular ideas.

+1 on poresia's suggestion

how about weekday night golf at MBGC? Folks dont need to take full or half day leave, or just knock off early, if you can
