| I personally feel that the Srixon Z star is the best ball I have ever used, distance and control should not be an issue with these balls, they all bite nicely on the green. They are about $60 a box so its still expensive.
On dangerous courses which are narrow or very water filled, i used the top flite gamer.

| best ball currently is still undoubtedly Prov1x. I have yet to try TM Penta so unable to comment. They are in the same price range. Bottom line, regardless what brand you use, just stick to one brand/model and your game will improve. | |

| Just tried the new NXT Tour balls. First hole is Par 5, after Driver, 7iron & PW hit to arrive on green, the surface has very visible cut/scuffing caused by the IKASU irons.
The condition get worse as the game proceeds on and finally, lost the ball through an OB drive.
I then used a Pro V1 that I picked up somedays ago. To my surprised, the does not cut as easily as NXT Tour.
I would say, NXT Tour is a cheaper replacement to ProV1. But it cuts too easily. Think will keep to NXT Extreme to save my wallet.

grrrrr....type a whole bunch of stuff and only the salty balls appeared.
For a beginner, just use cheap used distance balls.

What you been dipping them in bro? Used to hunt down the discontinued Maxfli Black Max cos I loved how it felt off the club from driver down to putter. Still got almost 2 dozen sitting at home. Was told there was a dimple design flaw that affected the final stage of flight. But I'm not good enough to notice it. Then it was the TaylorMade TP Black, and they say once you try Black, you won't go back. Not true, cos along came the Penta TP, and I'm sold on that now.

| Aural, you are not aware there is someone here seeling very good condition used balls? Lots have bought from him.
If you want to save yourself a trip down, can order from him. Unless of course you are intending to make the rounds at Far East.

| Raymond at Tradehub21 or Nemo here have good condition balls as well.
I think Noodle! Long & Soft is nice too, the V2 Gamer is nice as well.
but now i like my Bridgestone E6 and TP black.
Penta TP too expensive and i don't make full use of that ball.
