| One of the nearest is Poresia though I would think that Horizon hills is abt the same distance as the former one need to drive into the smaller road (can see from highway though) - if you driving via 2nd causeway which is more expensive due to toll but nearly traffic-jam free. Horizon course is very nice (should be abt RM150 weekdays) but more ex than Poresia (about RM$110 weekdays). While Poresia has one of the longer course. Cheers.... - scubababe wrote:

Daiman 18 only RM68 I think . but it is a public course and the fairways are a bit botak. Used to be my home course as I find it convenient as you can just walk in and play. Course is narrow and if you can play consistently well there, you will not be afraid of any other courses anywhere which people said are difficult. JMHO. Titu

| Actually the following in addition to those already mentioned are quite easy to get to: 1. Palm Resort 2 Palm Villa 3 Octville 4. Austin Fm costing perspective, depend on how you look at it.......compare to SG, all cheap lah be it weekend or weekday (green fees) | |

| easiest (IMO) to drive to:
ponderosa from causeway (keep left after shell petrol kiosk, drive straight, look for signboard, make U-turn).
poresia from tuas (exit to gelang patah, keep left all the way, look for signboard)
ponderosa is a fairly short course and in good condition. poresia would depends on which of the 4 courses u play on (have not been there for more than 2 yrs).

| Horizon Hills is near to Tuas 2nd Link... and it's very nice but on the expensive side (considering JB market rates). Quite a new course with a beautiful & challenging course layout... but the food there sucks... | |

| poresia & ponderosa different course.
from ponderosa website: The Resort is located admist the high end residential suburbs of Taman Molek with its fast growing financial hub, Taman Redang and Taman Ponderosa. It is also within fifteen minutes drive from Johor Bahru city and a mere 8 kilometers from the Johor-Singapore Causeway.
poresia = singaPORE + malaySIA managed by japanese and has 4 x 9 holes. orchid & hibiscus course more challenging and longer.
from poresia site: Proximity - 15 mins from Singapore - 45 mins from Orchard Road, Singapore
Directions After crossing the second causeway, head along the Southern Link. Exit at Geland Patah and follow the signboards along the way to Poresia Country Club.

| i find horizon hill a lil bit more difficult to get to as compared to poresia, maybe becos i used to go poresia almost every week. that being said, horizon hill is more expensive when compared to other courses in JB. however, everything is new and the course condition is pretty alright. | |

many thanks and happy new year! If you are familiar with JB roads, you can take a short cut via Permas Jaya and go on to Pasir Gudang highway. If not, take the longer way (15 mins longer) but more straight forward : From JB Immigration, take Tebrau Road towards Kota Tinggi, at Careffour, turn right to get on to Pasir Gudang highway, and drive all the way straight till you see Tanjong Puteri signage, after the Johor Port area. The intersection at Careffour is a multi level flyover so you need to watch the signbaord early and keep left in order to go under the flyover when turning right to Pasir Gudang/Masai direction. I play there often, if you want to play there, let me know.
