Any recommendations for good and value for $$ courses in Bangkok?

Or rather a "Must Play" course.

Other than below courses where I had golfed few times:
Lam Luk Ka
Panya
President
Green Valley

I played at 3 courses last week.

Day 1) Muang Kaew. Course is quite nice and not as difficult as Green Valley where the greens are so damn fast. The club house also not bad, but recommend not to eat in the club house. The food isn't fantastic.

Day 2) Green Valley. As you've played before so I won't comment. Except that it was the hardest course out of the 3.

Day 3) Lake Wood. My favourite of the 3. Caddies were very good. Only thing is got a lot of japanese golfers and quite crowded to book.

If you can use your SICC or other club reciprocal, you can play right in downtown at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club. Or get a member to bring you in. It's about 900thb plus another 4-500thb tips for caddy. I normally play very early- 5.45am or so when I'm there and done by 9.15am as it's only a par66 course.

If you use expensive balls and have a few kakis, do get a waterboy who will stand ahead and if your ball drops into the many water hazards, he will jump in and get it out. His fees about 500thb per round and divided by 4, it's about 125thb - cheaper than a ProV1 ball.

RBSC doesn't allow any local Thais (& residents) to play even if sign in by members.

I love playing here cos the folks are very friendly including the club president. And lucky for me, I've even played with their club champions (2009 & 2010) on two different occasions.

I just played in one of the best new course in Bangkok a few weeks ago. Riverdale Country Club. Newly opened about 2 years old, it sits on the outskirt of the city and is PGA worthy.

Long and challenging, bunkers are well placed to give a little risk-reward dilemma. Greens are beautifully kept. Caddies are well trained. Highly recommended.

Although I didn't pay for the game myself, I was told the price for the green fee / buggy / caddy costs ~ THB2500-3000. Much better than Lum Luk ka (which is around the same price range).

Cheers!
