Perhaps you are facing a reverse C problem? Can you post a vid of your swing from the front view (facing you), and let us know which irons you are using

eeerrrr...based on my very very limited experience, maybe you "fliping" / uncork your wrist before you contact the ball and end up scooping it???

To prevent scooping, invest in an impact bag.
I'm planning to get one flown in after I return from CNY.

dun be like me la, waste money on kit. all it means is that I made a lot of bad decisions before finding something I really liked.
@golfer : go BFG and try the Impact Stik. It kinda trains you to hit down on the ball, and that might help you get lower shots. Or see a coach - there are quite a few in this forum.

if you have enough lag created on the downswing, you will see a more penetrating ball flight before it reaches its peak in height

My ball flight is also impossibly high
Think you might want to get 2 things analyzed. Your swing, and your equipment.
One or the other might not be working optimally.

i am more of the opinion that the swing is the bigger factor in balloon ball flight as oppose to shaft. it does make a difference but the swing is the bigger contributing factor. if i my swing is good, no matter which shaft, the ball flight will still be penetrating on the 7iron as oppose to a more wedge type of ball flight.

True, but we cannot ignore that the shafts used in a lot of game improvement clubs have kickpoints designed to help get the ball in the air.

Last time I was hitting the ball high. I thought it was the shaft, so i went to get my shaft change. Still sama sama so i went to a coach. Well, the reason is because I am scooping the ball (my wrist created this). Did alot of repetitive drill my coach recommended and its improving.

I just changed the shafts in all my irons (thx Eric) for that exact reason, the ball into the wind would balloon a zillion miles high.... it only happened since I got the new heads as the shafts were from my old irons.
A bit softer lighter shaft and my flight has lowered a lot.
I wish I could change my swing

agnes, easier to pay money and change shaft, rather than change swing.
i have already paid my money and change my shaft... now i am reworking my swing.

Golfer, you need to know your club head speed first. With the swing speed, one can estimate your optimum distance. Hitting high is not a bad thing but if you are not achieving anything close to the optimum distance then it's a problem.

Golfer,
There is a Pro who had mentioned to me that is doesnt matter is the ball flight is high or not. He himself is using graphite shaft due to his small frame size and his ball flight is always going upwards and foward towards the pin. In my opinion, I would say this should be the ideal ball flight. Having seen him hit a 5 iron and it did not travel further than 5 metres after landing on the green.
This is the kind of swing which I am trying to obtain. Of course shaft do matters, but my thoughts are if you havent got the correct swing, it will not help in improving your game.
Lastly, it will be better to get a pro to assist on your ball flight. Let him identify where your fault and improve on them. There a couple of pros here. Maybe you can PM them to fix appointment to access your ball flight before doing anything.
Cheers

To lower ball flight, you gotta compress it and cover it at impact. These before and after pics show the difference in shaft angles at impact.

Right Sided Coach,
I understand you need to hit down with the irons and this will compress the ball more efficiency and prevent it from ballooning.
What about driver? What is your advise for people who hit the driver with ball ballooning? Obviously you cannot hit down on driver. Also, i notice some driver actually become close face when you deloft it. So there is a big chance for hitting a duck hook when you deloft your driver.

Correct, you don't hit down on driver. All we do is bring ball position more forward however the position of the hands at impact will remain the same as with irons.
Most ballooning drives come from too steep a down swing causing the wrists and arms to break down through impact and the ball goes skyward.
This steep downswing is caused by things that have gone wrong earlier in the swing so trying to correct this is not of any use. You need to know why the club is coming down steep and correct the cause of this. It is always the set up, radius, turning direction or weight shift.
These 4 things are the basis of all swing problems and flattening out a swing is easy to do if your coach identifies which of these is the culprit.
These before and after videos show how easy things change by using these principles
Delofting your driver is not the answer. This would be a band aid fix i.e flipping your wrist at impact, but as you mention will result in a duck hook
