anyone using Wilson Staff irons?? how are they?

was window shopping at suntec and saw they FG59... like to look of it plus tats my initial..haha

They sponsor me, change to FG Forged tour because of grooves.... from PI7

Won my first event in US with Wilson...

Think u may be the only one using it in GR

Quite an ' outsider' irons, at least on singapore.
Even at pro level, not many ppl using this brand. Can only think of paddy harrington.
What's your take on it?

Not very well advertised in Asia, sad really is good equipment. The new balls are fantastic, will rival anything, without the "cutting" of the outer cover.

You want to try you know where I am.....

Asahi, Wilson has had a very long history with golf and was once "THE" irons to be played by pros. Wilson Staff irons with 'fluid feel' where the shaft went all the way through the hosel, evidenced by the black plug at the heel of the iron's sole. Callaway's variation of it decades later was the 'bore through' hosel with their woods. If my sieve-like memory serves me correctly.

I have 8884 u can try. Wilson product in Suntec and Marina Square. Else MST in JB.

Have not tried mate. Used to use FI 5's which is mixed cavity blabe set, they were very good....

I stuff it full of squirrel bodies... I rattle around in the trees so much!

i would love to get the fg59 as my next set of irons, i doubt i would be able to find a 2nd hand set. Anyone knows how much does it sell here?

Not sure, but I've been eyeing a set, brand new from US, USD600. They look beautiful, thin topline, very little offset, and thin sole (I'm a bit of a digger)

USD600??? Which website did u go? Most of the golf websites i went to are selling at USD899 minimum.

USD 600 for those are really a bargain. Too bad i can't get it now. Go for it and let me have a go at it when u r in SG! Haha!
