Was at Laguna yesterday after nine holes at NSRCC Exec course--shot +4. Almost chipped in for a birdie on the seventh using 58* lob wedge.

Saw Short Hitter at Laguna with his students.

Since they renovated the driving range outfield, it is very nice.

The practice area is well maintained also for putting & chipping practice.

I 'might' go to Toa Payoh just to try the new system as it's so convenient from where I live. But I won't go there on a regular basis anymore.

May I ask if the Laguna range is open to members of the public?

Was at Toa Payoh Driving Range (Poh Bros) last night.

The PlayGolf system not so bad as they lowered the back-railings of the targets so can fly over if hit hard enuff past 150 metres.

I can drive off the tee at TPY about 170 m on average with the yellow balls.

The balls lose about 10% distance compared to the old balls and about 20% compared to actual golf balls.

I scored 1,000 with 60 balls.

The trick is to only aim at the 100m or 150m targets in the middle of the ball catchment zone--highest points.

They should install two more target areas at around 175m and 200m for longer hitters.

The nearby targets 25, 50, 75 are fairly easy but do not have a high point value.

HIO on either of the two flagged mounds are 500 points!

It's good that they have 80 ball (non-game) price ofr just practicing without playing the game.

It should (in theory) promote aiming at specific targets for beginner golfers which is good.

However, backspining the rocklike balls is not as easy as at an all-grass outfield driving range.

Hi, but are there restrictions on drivers on upper decks? Do you what time they close? Thanks thanks!
